I normally do not post reviews, but I absolutely needed to in this case.
We got to Portland around midnight and were instructed to call the phone number for security as there is no one at the front desk after 10pm. Security took about 30 minutes to get to the property but was very kind and unlocked our room for us, however could not provide us a key as we were not “officially checked in”.
The room was nothing at all like what was pictured. The drawer provided was broken and unusable. The floor was dirty. The room had an odor, and an even worse odor came from the sink drain. We could also hear every single footstep coming from the guests upstairs. We didn’t even bother to shower due to the uncleanliness of the room, just went straight to bed. I immediately booked a new hotel for my remaining stay.
At around 10am as we were getting ready to leave, a random person was knocking on our door. When we opened, they stated that “I’m trying to book a room and the front desk said that you would be leaving soon,” and then proceeded to attempt WALKING INTO MY HOTEL ROOM to “check it out.”
This was the strangest, most uncomfortable hotel experience I’ve ever had. You can find better hotels at comparable prices.
