My double room was spacious and spotlessly clean, the bed was enormous, however the mattress was a bit too firm for me but that’s just personal choice . The furniture and carpets were a bit old fashioned but functional. I would say a larger armchair would be useful if watching TV rather than sitting on the bed .
Everything you could need in the room , TV , tea & coffee , shower gels etc .Breakfast plentiful in fact I had to request a bit less for me . The host was lovely , very friendly and welcoming .
The Athol park is just a short walk from the bus , railway ,beach but it is a bit uphill from all of those and there is no lift at the property so may not be suitable for anyone with walking difficulties. Saying that , I would certainly stay again and recommend it.
Alan and Jen were fantastic and very helpful hosts. Well located near promenade of Port Erin. When I'm back on the island, this is where I'll be looking to stay again.
Arrived before 10 am to leave bag but was given my room there and then which had also been upgraded . This was great and the host is just so friendly and helpful .
All good here, was upgraded to double room with a really good view. Breakfast was excellent and Alan the owner was very knowledgeable about the island, so yes no problems and from my experience I would certainly recommend when staying in the area.

Friendly Service. Breakfast included. Close to the coast
I recently had a wonderful stay at Athol Park Guest House, and I wanted to share my experience:
1. The location is fantastic, situated in a peaceful area just a short walk from the beach.
2. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming.
3. Breakfast provided a reasonable selection of choices.
4.My single room was clean, spacious, and well-equipped with all necessary amenities.
I highly recommend this guest house!
I arrived early due to my phone not working and I needed WiFi to message my sister. The host was so kind to let me in and use the WiFi and drop off my bags eventhough the room wasn't redy yet. She was very friendly and they iffered free coffee and breakfast. I felt very welcomed.
Jen was friendly and very welcoming. Breakfast was okay, poached eggs need more practice, yolk hard even when asked for softly poached. A good place to stay to be near centre and prom/beach. No parking at property, parking on road outside or surrounding area.
We had a lovely stay and would certainly stay again. We stayed in room 8 and would love this room again for the amazing views. The owners are lovely and friendly and really helpful when we had to make a change to our booking, just before arriving. Breakfast is lovely and guests likewise, making breakfast a lovely experience. Parking is street parking, we always found a place and if outside was full, there is a side road road to park on 2 minutes away. Accommodation is next to Port Erin beach and we enjoyed evenings in Top Bar which has beautiful views as the sun goes down. Book a table for dinner to get the best views.

Excellent service from the lady proprietor on check in and at breakfast daily. A great host. Good breakfast selection including hot food to order although white bread tastes unusual. Room good and had a fan in it. Decor quite old and tired, especially in bathroom but doesn’t hinder the stay. Slept well and the place was quiet even though full. Good location. Would stay again.
Ok place to stay in Port Erin. We were on a hiking vacation with Port Erin as base for few days. Very friendly host that made us feel home in a clean but not too large room. Breakfast was good and the location were close to the train and bus station.
This place is awesome. They have great breakfast, clean rooms, extremely helpful and friendly staff. The guest house is a short walk to the beach, train station, and multiple scenic hikes. Highly recommend
I booked single rooms for me and my grandson. I am 81 years old and I was given a room with no en suite. To use the toilet I had to leave my room, go down about five steps, then few steps along corridor, then up two steps to a bathroom. I would not be able to do this in the night. Same for a shower, would have to take clothes etc. Toiletries in bathroom empty. My grandson’s room had no kettle. Lack of electric sockets in both rooms which smelt distinctly musty.
Accommodation was totally unacceptable so we left and found modern, fully equipped en suite rooms elsewhere. They are refusing to refund any charges.
