"What an amazing property. This hotel was one of my favorites throughout our family trip of 10 days around Portugal and Madeira. We were given a suite with pool and ocean view. The rooms were spotless clean, comfortable beds with fluffy pillows. One of the best breakfast buffets we have experienced. The staff was very friendly and professional. Located near restaurants, natural pool, shopping mall. Highly recommend to stay at Porto Mare Bayport when visiting Funchal."
"Incredible hotel! The staff is amazing. So friendly, helpful, and accommodating. The grounds, rooms, and views are stunning. The sea pool is beyond and the diving boards are so much fun. We brought our 8 month old and they provided a crib, stuffed animal, and adorable backpack. The staff was also very sweet with the baby and offered a high chair at every meal. We also really enjoyed the thoughtful nightly gifts during turndown service. Spa also very nice.

"We thoroughly enjoyed our 7night stay at The Residence (30/8/25-5/9/25) and would definitely recommend.
The apartment was modern, clean, very roomy, bedroom, 2 bathrooms, lounge area, dining area, a very well equipped kitchen and balcony.
Staff were welcoming and friendly.
The gardens and pool area were absolutely beautiful and well maintained.
The hotel complex is huge and has everything you could possibly want or need but it is very easy to get disorientated and lost!

"Das Hotel alles in allem Super. Das Personal war überaus freundlich und zu vorkommend. Das Essens-Buffet war abwechslungsreich und jedes mal aufs neue ein Genuss.
Das einzige was mich ein wenig enttäuscht hatte war, dass wir extra ein Zimmer mit Meerblick gebucht hatten, aber jedoch von unserem Zimmer hauptsächlich auf eine große Baustelle und die Stadt gesehen hatten. Erst irgendwo hinter dem Gebäudejungle und auch nur wenn man auf den Balkon hinaus ging konnte man das Meer dann sehen."

"What can I say? This property was 10 out of 10 coming from New York we loved everything about it with the balcony facing room of the water. Staff were super friendly. Food was good when everything in the area was closed down and my massage with Maria was out of this world book your spot ahead of time because it sells out very quickly.
