Simply magnificent!

Our wonderful host Jose really did everything to make this a great experience. The room was spacious, comfortable and equipped with everything you could want. Breakfast was superb and varied each day, and we enjoyed dinner there on the last night, beautifully prepared by Jose’s wife Eduarda. A very special stay in a special place!

what a memory

We had the most amazing time at Solar. It is just a bit outside of the center of the city but right next to the beach. Also walkable distance to the city so it wasn't a problem for us. We enjoyed the personalization from the hosts from the goodies upon arriving and leaving. The breakfast and the flexibility of it. The recommendations of not only the island but in Porto as we were headed there next. Maybe the highlight of our trip might have been the rooftop dinner as the weather was great, sunset was perfect but most importantly the food and wine was incredible. Would highly recommend as we went off friend's recommendations and have already recommended other friends!

The hosts were very kind and the food was amazing. If possible be sure to have dinner here, it is not offered everynight so be sure to take it when pissible. Breakfast on the terrace was available every morning and also amazing. We were thankful that this pkace is not directly in the city, but easy walk to two beaches.

Unique was the kindness of the staff. The house is old, and was diffucult to close the doors.

Best hospitality & food on our trip!

Amazing hospitality. The hosts were beyond kind and helpful, and the food there was the best on our trip! Breakfasts included in the a.m., and dinner reservations optional, highly recommended!

Lovely stay at Solar Gloria with kind and attentive staff... comfortable open space in apartment #3 with delicious breakfast and 3 min. walk to the beach. Jose was great with suggestions on dinner and activities on island. We would return here and highly recommend!

Amazing place to stay

Our suite was spacious and beautiful with great amenities including in suite laundry. The breakfast buffet was excellent with great options. Jose is very friendly and offers good advice for planning your day. The location is good too. The only complaint is that a bad smell developed in our kitchen, which we had not used, on the last day before we checked out. Otherwise, highly recommended.

Tout était parfait. Très belle suite, très bon petit déjeuner. Raffinement, draps anciens brodes, serviettes de table également. Accueil adorable.

nice hotel located in great area recommended

the hotel and the apartment reflect exactly the soul of Azores the owner Jose' pay a lot attention of details giving a dream for a wile I recommend this hotel for all guest want relax and peace all facility are superb located in one of beautiful area. it is not just a bed and TV you feel like at home sorry your wishing second home

A truly great place to stay - one of the very best

Staying in this b&b was a really enjoyable experience. Jose and Andrei are fantastic hosts. The building itself is beautifully refurbished and the way that they run things really matches this - great attention to detail and the little touches that add to the beauty of the experience. The breakfast was lovely and we also had a delicious dinner here. There is plenty of parking nearby. We would definitely recommend.
