Gesamte Anlage völlig veraltet und heruntergekommen. Teppich im Zimmer roch nach Urin, wurde auf Anfrage nicht entfernt. Personal ist freundlich aber nicht sehr engagiert. Wäsche, diewir zum Waschn gegeben haben, kam in einer Plastiktüte feucht zurück. Frühstücksauswahl ist klein und Qualität enttäuschend.

Our stay was excellent in all ways. The staff were very welcoming and attentive. Breakfasts were very good. A problem with the curtain rail was fixed very quickly. Our initial 3 night stay was so good we extended the stay by another day

Beautiful Views and comfortable Place to relax!

We were very pleased. We were warmly greeted by manager JohnRoss. Made us feel welcome and showed us to our room! Staff were all very accommodating and helpful! Room was super clean! Enjoyed the tub soak with Epsom salts. Fridge was very handy ceiling fan made room very comfortable. Enjoyed breakfast out on the patio! Scenery from the deck and room was beautiful!

Overnight stay

We had an excellent stay at the redbourne country lodge. The bed was very comfortable. The room was large. The views were fantastic and even though we're close to N2 we did not hear any traffic. Until I opened the patio door the next morning to drink my coffee did I hear some traffic and realise we were close to the high way. Although we could not have supper there that night the manager on duty recommended a few restaurants in the area and the seafood restaurant we went too which was close by was excellent. Value for money. The breakfast the next morning at the lodge was as exceptional as I was lead to believe,. The breakfast was large with excellent food and service. The staff were great. In fact we had such a great time we will definitely try to get back there on our next trip to the eastern cape.

Chambre spacieuse

Magnifique chambre avec vue sur la nature. Le wifi ne fonctionne pas dans les chambres. Avoir un véhicule de location pour sortir le soir à la rue des restaurants. Hôtel situé dans un endroit calme. Chambre super spacieuse et accueillante.

Beautiful setting, easy to navigate & great breakfast. Prices fluctuate but on a good day, value for money! The staff are consistently welcoming, friendly, accommodating & professional. Secure, easy to access parking bays a few steps from the single story rooms.

Sehr schöne Lodge mit angenehmen Zimmern und gutem Frühstück. Leider zu weit von Plett entfernt, so dass wir jedesmal das Auto nehmen mussten.

Space, comfort and tranquility

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Staff efficient and friendly. Hotel room was spacious, modern and clean. Had a cosy little deck which overlooked the manicured garden with the sound of a water fountain. There was a restuarant and a hair salon on site. It was lovely, highly recommended.

We won't be back

I'm sad to say that we did not think Redbourne Lodge met the standards of a 4-star establishment. Our room was 'OK' but 'bare', the shower plughole was dirty and broken, the plug chain in the basin was broken, there was no soap dish so it just became a squishy mess on the basin. The fridge was rusty, the security chain was broken, one hot tap in the basin was not working. The toilet flush needed attention. The slope in the shower was dangerous. The windows were dirty with what looked like mould. The toilet seat was loose. Outside basic plastic chairs, no cushions and no small table for drinks. Two bottles of water in the fridge - one already started!!! Nextdoor's TV could be heard very well. I don't expect to make my own toast in a 4-star establishment. Cornflakes 'soggy'. Not adequate to just cover with clingfilm. They don't stay crisp. On first day lots of people wanting to check out. No-one there to do it. Big queue forming in Reception. Eventually waitress did it which meant there was no service in the breakfast area. New people were arriving with no idea where to sit and no-one to take orders. It was fairly obvious they were selling up as agents were walking round with clipboards and we guess the state of the place reflects this apparent lack of attention to detail.

Hotel etwas außerhalb von Plettenberg

Leider war das Hotel unter der angegebenen Adresse selbst mit Navi nicht zu finden! Erst nachdem wir uns bei mehreren Einheimischen erkundigt hatten, erfuhren wir, daß das Hotel in der Nähe vom Golfplatz (und damit komplett woanders und außerhalb von Plettenberg liegt. Eine Anfahrtsskizze vom Hotel wäre nett und sinnvoll gewesen. Die Anfragen im Vorfeld unserer Reise bezüglich Silvester-Aktivitäten wurden von einem Büro in Kapstadt beantwortet, die uns "hierzu nichts sagen konnten"..... Insgesamt schöne kleine Anlage mit kleinem Außenbereich/Pool, nettem Aufenthalts- bzw. Frühstücksraum und Bar (nur bedingt besetzt). Leider beim ersten Frühstück ziemliches Chaos am Buffet: Der Toaster war kaputt, das Auffüllen der Käse-/Wurst-Platten sowie die Beschaffung von Butter und Eierspeisen dauerte relativ lange....

Great hotel and fantastic service

Thoroughly enjoyed our 3 night stay here. Rooms were good size, clean and the beds very comfortable. Service at breakfast and in the bar was top notch, especially from Victor who was always friendly and helpful.

Die Unterkunft liegt direkt neben dem Golfplatz. Die Aussicht ist schön aber nichts Sehenswertes ausser man mag Golfplätze. Das Zimmer ist grosszügig wie auch das Badezimmer. Die Anlage ist herrlich gepflegt. Was ein kleiner Mangel ist, die Betten sind getrennt zusammengeschoben und schon ziemlich am Ende spricht bedingt komfortabel. Wir hatten in Südafrika kein so schlechtes Bett...

Super place.

This was an excellent choice, Victor the manager was most helpfu, our room was spotless also very large, the bathroom has two basins and a excellent shower. Breakfast had an excellent choice and cooked breakfast was superb.

Zweckmäßige Unterkunft mit freundlichem Personal

Die Lodge liegt sehr ruhig etwas außerhalb in direkter Nachbarschaft zum Golfclub. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich, gutes Frühstück. Die Poolarea lädt zum Verweilen ein, der Pool selbst ist etwas in die Jahre gekommen. Das Internet funktioniert in den von der Rezeption weiter entfernten Zimmern (wir waren in No14 von 16) am besten auf der Veranda vor der Tür.
