Resort is closed in April - don’t go before May

We booked this hotel nearly a year before we travelled. We wanted somewhere warm with fun evenings and a great beach for the whole family and this seemed to fit the bill. However what we didn’t realise is that the resort is actually closed as it was so early in the season. There was nothing on the beach, only 1 restaurant was open and the shops were all closed. Whilst I do acknowledge we should have researched this more , all of the research I did do let me to this resort. The local taxi driver , who was friendly and really helpful, said we had picked the best place for us, but just at the wrong time of year. As we couldn’t possibly entertain ourselves and 2 kids for the week, we ended up moving to Chania the next day so had to pay for another place to stay for the week. We let the manager know why and he was very nice and offered help if we needed it - not sure what that could be - maybe be could’ve given us a lift to Chania . Anyway it was not the fault of the hotel but I also think that maybe it should be made clear when they accept the booking that the resort does not really open up until May/June? It would have helped us . The room was nice, very basic but for the price nice and clean and the manager was really friendly. The location seemed ti be good as it was close to the beach and a main drag but I can’t say for definite as nothing near was open . It’s not a place I plan to revisit

Hyggeligt lille hotel i snæver græsk gade.

Hyggeligt lille hotel med thekøkken. Lidt svært med P pladser men da der ikke var så mange turister fik jeg p mulighed i kælderen (3 pladser) 75m til stranden 150 til byen og 300 til havnen 🙏

Sijainti oli hyvä. Apartamentos oli siisti ulkoisesti mutta huoneessa sisällä siisteydessä oli toivomisen varaa. Siivous ei ollut parasta mahdollista. Sängyt olivat erinomaiset mutta varustelu keittiössä heikohko ja saniteettitilat olivat vanhat ja puutteelliset. Henkilökunta oli hyvin ystävällistä ja auttavaista, kiitos siitä heille!

Hotel nært stranden. Personalet var lite hyggelige og skulle ha mer penger pr natt når vi kom og vi måtte bytte rom etter 2 dager om vi ikke bet 10 euro mer pr natt. På det nye rommet virket ikke ac og vi måtte flytte tilbake til det vi hadde. De vasket ikke iløpet av 6 dager og vi fikk rene håndklær en gang iløpet av oppholdet. Stille og rolig strøk,samtidig som det var sentralt.

AnnaKatarina Apartments is just what you need for some relaxing days near the beach.It has everything you need,it's clean,has comfortable beds and has balconys with parasolls. The staff is also very helpful and kind.

Fantastic Price worthy family apartment Hotel

Fantastic family apartment Hotel in the heart of Platanias. Close to the Beach.. and Close to all fantastic restaurant s in the neighbourhood. These apartment s got Everything you need. Very calm area at night. There is no need of a swimmingpool... its just like living in a greak Village... going to the beach to sunbade... or taking the local bus to the big city Chania... walking distance to Everything.

We loved the people, the surroundings, the location close to the sea, beautiful place! The basic cleanliness was ok. The kitchen equipment was appropriate for two people. The hosts were super nice and warm and welcoming! It would have been nice to have the towels changed every day. The air conditioner smelled bad sometimes or most of the time. The shower was really small even for slim people. The bathroom floor didn't dry very easily. The toilet pot's cover lid insisted to fall on your back all the time which was quite annoying.

Underbart nöjd gäst!

Läget för oss var perfekt! Jag personligen älskar centrala Platanias och ville därför bo nära allt men samtidigt iväg från trafiken. Min vän åkte hem efter 3 dagar och jag var kvar en hel vecka själv! Hotellet var hur perfekt som helst! Supertrevlig personal, sköna sängar och kuddar. Superenkel mailkontakt med trevliga Manolis när vi hade frågor om incheckning och dylikt! Vid utcheckning som är vid 11 på nästan alla hotell fick jag lov att vara kvar på mitt rum ändå för att jag inte skulle åka hem förrens på kvällen. Kanske inte alltid möjligt ifall de är fullbokade, men vänligheten hos alla i personalen är oklanderlig! Hur nöjd som helst!

Emplacement idéal. A 50 mètres de la plage et 5 minutes à pied du centre ville de Platanias, tout en étant au calme... une odeur d espèce de tabac froid ou je ne sais quoi vous surprend en entrant mais après cette odeur s estompe (a moins que nous nous y sommes habitué) Le confort de la literie est moyen... et le bémol serait la salle de bains spartiate.. le rideau de douche vous colle à la peau dès que vous bouger.. la cuisine est fonctionnelle pour le petit déjeuner, mais pas ideal pour cuisiner des plats.. dans l ensemble il s agit d un bon rapport qualité prix...

Good location and close to the beach

The apartment was clean, had all the amenities needed for our stay. It was close to the beach and the main strip and friendly staff who made our stay welcoming with a personal touch. Don’t expect the ritz but for a last minute trip in the height of season at a reasonable price you can’t go wrong.
