For the price I paid for 3 nights was not worth it. 1st night checking in. Fridge didnt work for awhile. Had black mold and leaking for awhile. Told a worker. Didn't get a replacement until 2 nights later. Workers cleaned the fridges in the room left mold stains when they cleaned the old or new fridge on sink and water puddles on the floor. No new towels changes or bed made during stay.

Staff was pleasant and as helpful as they could be. Biggest complaint was the bugs. Luckily I only saw dead ones, but there were multiple dead roaches in our room. Toilet leaked on the floor. As a former local, they've been doing "renovations" for literal years now. The room we were in is the same type my dad was in several years ago, and there have definitely been upgrades, but I don't think it's been enough. Some things that were upgraded were not done well or correctly (like the sink faucet being installed in the *front* corner of the counter?) and some things clearly hadn't been updated at all (common hallways, outside security locks, room phone). Bed frame was very cheap and creaky. TV package with on demand options was appreciated. Bottom line: could've been worse, but I won't stay here again.

Most of the problem was, I could not understand the guy behind the desk. At check-in. Then I could not get the TV to work. There was two remotes laying on the cabinet neither would work. I called the front desk and told them my problem and again could not understand what he was saying. But he did come up with a new remote and took the two that were there with him. It worked after that. Not sure why. Verbal communication was the problem mostly as I could not understand what he was saying 90% of the time. Room was clean, bed was comfortable, looking out my window. It looked pretty messy and junkie breakfast was typical and good. Never use the air conditioner or the heater. Main item was the communication. Issue.

Don't let the outside fool you. The rooms are clean and newly remodeled. Our room was dusty on the floor but it just got ready for us at 8:30 or so in the evening. They are remodeling the entire motel. We had new everything. Sink, faucet, mirror, windows, window coverings, beautiful artwork on the wall. Beds were very comfortable. Fridge worked fantastic. Wonderful hot breakfast with a hard working attendant on duty. The bathtub like most motels tubs was very slippery. I slipped back in 2013 at another motel and broke a collarbone so I really wish all motels would automatically put a cheap rubber bath mat in each room. I carry my own! Once they update the outside paint (which they should if it's not in the plans) this will be a great location. Cheapest place in Pierre so it was surprisingly updated inside
