Nice resort, rooms are clean and comfortable, breakfast includes wide variety of chooses. Resorts include private pool, beach and a small water park. Free tickets of love of the sea and buggy for transportation within resort provided. However, not much choice for outdoor activities. More of a family friendly resort rather than a resort for adults.

The property is vast and has a great beach. The breakfast buffet was extremely impressive, with wonderful authentic food and great variety. We stayed in a 4 bedroom villa with private pool. The rooms were large and comfortable and easily fit our group of 8 people. The furnishings in and around are villa were looking worn and tired. The bathroom tiles had mold, stains on the couch and carpet, and there were rodent droppings behind the television. The pictures are very impressive, so it was a bit of a let down in person. It just doesn't have that 4/5 star aspect in every area. Service in the restaurants can be very slow as well, even though they are all very warm and welcoming.

3 bedroom villa, was clean, not very well furnished The resort needs to manage the sun beds better, It seem to be the thing to do, was to go out at breakfast and put a towel in a sun bed, but not go and use the sun bed until later in the day, It was sad to see most Sun beds with towel, but most not being used by guest, but other guest wanting to use them, but couldn’t Restaurant were ok, breakfast had lots of verity But was not hot food, also very busy at breakfast, and hard to get a hot tea Beach had a lot of garbage on it and in the water, staff spent all day clearing up garbage, it really was not good, when you are swimming in the ocean, beside a condom, the hotel worked hard to keep the beach clean The water park was fun, kids and adults enjoyed it Food and drinks were expensive, at the hotel Villa had a pool, looked nice, but was full of bugs, asked hotel to clean pool and they did a good job Not many of the hotel staff speak English, so use phone to translate Over all, we had fun, enjoyed the time spent here, but feel like it could have been better

It was an amazing property. The breakfast that was included was top notch and had so many different options. The staff were friendly. The pool was nice and the beach was wonderful. The sand was very soft and my kids enjoyed paddle boarding and kayaking. There was really no dining options around the area except for the resort and after being in other areas in Vietnam where food was very cheap, the pricing at the hotel seemed high although it was still cheaper that what we would pay in the US. Over all, the villa was amazing and we thoroughly enjoyed our 4 night stay.

There were red ants in our villa and we showed it to the staff multiple times. After so much of back and forth they finally moved us to a new villa. Being vegetarians they had limited options for us and we were not allowed to order in via grab also. That was a bummer. Other than that, everything was good!

This resort has many facilities that cater for the family in particularly families with children. Each villa has its privacy and is very spacious! The spa services is excellent. I enjoyed my body treatment in a luxurious and quiet private room. The therapist is great too. Her techniques is gentle but right to the pressures I preferred!

I can't recommend this resort enough! It is geared towards families, but I traveled alone and had a great time. The beach is beautiful, the pool was amazing, and the villa I stayed in was awesome! You will not be disappointed in this resort!

Breakfast is excellent! Anna at the breakfast restaurant really made our 5 days vacation a great one. She treated my family like family. Room cleaning can be improved. The backyard and private pool was not clean for all the 5 days we were there. However, I can overlook all that because of an excellent service in other areas. Thanks

5 Star Resorts - Next to a private quiet beach. The villa is clean and the staff are really friendly. Breakfast was amazing. Great resorts if you need to rest and relax. It's far away from most of the attractions.

Relaxing resort

The environment is relaxing and the staff's service is excellent. The breakfast is good with different choices. We are staying at deluxe villa room, however we would suggest that the door of toilet and shower be applied with frosted look (at least in the middle part) so as to avoid embarrassing if two friends are staying in the same room.

This is luxury living and the staff are so friendly. The only down side is the cost of food and drink in the resort. Just because you can charge high prices doesn’t mean you should.

The property was excellent and near the cable car ride to Hong Thom. The rooms were clean and nice and the pool was great and big. It’s also next to the beach so you have swim options. However the night market near by doesn’t give much option and neither is there much to do outside of the resort. The breakfast dining was food but lunch and dinner at the resort is actually quite bad. Meats were chewy and dinner option at the buffet was not much for the $900k dong that you pay. We tried the restaurant inside the resort called Lua and that was also pretty bad. The food was bland and not good.

I expect more from a 5 star hotel. It was often that they run out towels at the pools. It was chaos with both sun beds and towels. The cleaning was not good and it was missing equipments. Breakfeast and service was good. And the gym was very good compare to many others I have been to.

LOVELY LOVELY LOVELY! The experience was so positive I want to visit Phu Quoc again before I had even left! You travel by buggy everywhere within the premises, and staff nicely arrange everything for you. The rooms are clean and spacious, with the pool in the villa makes the whole experience another level up! Recommend!!!!!

Here's a corrected version: Overall, it was great. The clean facilities and various activities were the highlights. I especially enjoyed the small waterpark in front of the beach. However, the room service was too slow. We ordered food and it took almost 1 hour and 30 minutes to arrive. I recommend ordering room service earlier than originally planned.

We had a lovely stay in a premium pool villa for 3 nights. The villas are spacious, the staff are friendly, the breakfast was fantastic, and the beach was lovely. There are a few reasons I didn't rate this more highly. No off site food or beverage is allowed and there is a charge for using the kitchen in the villa that you paid to stay in. These are crazy rules, made worse by very overpriced food and drinks. We opted to leave the resort for lunch and dinner and eat at a different restaurant for each meal at the various places that were within walking distance as they had great food options at a reasonable price. We also went to go paddleboarding only to find there are only two that are a bit dated and they only had one paddle. The villa itself had a dingy shower, old leaves piled up all over the patio, and it's as if the walls were dirty, particularly around switches and other high traffic areas, and the sofa was stained. We had a lovely stay as we kept to ourselves and used our private pool, but I'd simply expect more from a 5 star resort.

Beautiful resort

We had a fabulous stay at the New World Resort Phu Quoc. Pros: The beach is absolutely stunning and the villas are gorgeous. The breakfast buffet was incredible, we loved that it was slightly different every day. Happy hour is good value and generally all of the staff are eager to please. Cons: Food and drink prices are very expensive for Vietnam, almost on London levels which was a shock after travelling here from a 5 star hotel in Hoi An where spa/food/drinks prices were roughly half those here. Too many rules - e.g. bikes can’t be taken outside the property. Why not? At other hotels we stayed at on our trip they could be taken anywhere, where the roads were far less quiet! My husband got chased down the road by security. Likewise towels could not be taken further along the beach etc. There was no flexibility either, e.g. we had half an hour to kill before we could check in so our children wanted to use the giant pool flamingo for 30 mins, but the staff were adamant we had to pay for an hour and it was not possible to pay half for the time we actually wanted to use it. No outside food allowed to be taken into bills etc etc. These little niggles were quite irritating and don’t make for a relaxing holiday. However, we still loved the hotel and really enjoyed our stay.
