"The room was beautiful and spacious and lovely outlook. If you want a peaceful place to stay 20-30 min taxi ride from main areas, the accomodation is good, but there is literally nothing around so you are kind of stuck there or hire a scooter or driver. We originally booked for 7 nights but left after 5 nights as just too quiet, the owner refunded some of the cost which was very nice as non- refundable and we chose to move. The improvements we would suggest would be to keep the cats and dogs away from the main eating area. Dogs kind of lazed about and did not bother people, but the cats and kittens meow constantly when you are eating and some guests feed them encouraging. I am not a cat fan and having them constantly around my ankles was not pleasant. The other improvement is to serve cocktails in the pool from lunch through to diner. The staff are there as restaurant open from about 11am through to end of dinner, but several times when we asked for a drink we were told no cocktails until dinner! "

"This is an absolutely beautiful location with the best customer service! After settling into our room (overwater bungalow), I told the staff about 5 issues/requests. All 5 were taken care of in record time! The food is delicious! The internet wasn’t working more than it was, and even my data wouldn’t work, so it was a great opportunity to disconnect and enjoy the stay! A very special thank you to JM! I wasn’t feeling well (with a cough and cold), and he made me some home remedy drinks. He also ran to us with umbrellas when it suddenly started pouring rain. JM, you went above and beyond! Thank you again. "

"Dai Loc Hotel is not officially star-rated for administrative reasons (we were told this is because it is located outside the city “ring”), but in practical terms I would place it at about a 3-star level at best. The hotel is not centrally located, unlike properties such as Vihusa which sit right in downtown Hà Tiên. It also does not have an on-site restaurant, which is a noticeable limitation for travelers who prefer the convenience of dining at the hotel. That said, the room itself was nice, clean, and appeared newly built, which we appreciated. One downside is the sound insulation—at night we could hear loud music coming from the night market roughly a mile away, which may be an issue for light sleepers. What truly stood out during our three-night stay was the hospitality of the staff. We got to know most of them, and they were consistently friendly and attentive. A special shout-out to Trân, a young, energetic, and genuinely warm staff member. It’s clear she loves her job and truly cares about the guests, and her attitude made a real difference in our experience. Would we recommend Dai Loc Hotel over other options in town? We’re honestly on the fence. The clean, new rooms and excellent staff are strong positives, but the location, lack of a restaurant, and noise at night may make other centrally located hotels more appealing for some travelers."

"Staffs are courtesy. Amenities is okay. Bathroom exhaust fan is very noisy. The hot water should be opened half an hour in advance to ensure it’s ready."
