The fact that they could not accommodate me with the room that I had requested and paid for was disappointing, to start. The front desk person was absolutely rude when I told her I was not happy about not getting the patio room that I had paid for. First, she told me it was because I had booked through Expedia. She mentioned that for a second time later in the conversation. She figured that offering me 3 - $30 breakfast coupons should cover the inconvenience. I disagreed. She ended up putting us in a room that had a shared patio. This patio would have been fine if we knew the other family. There were 3 seats, and 6 people total, in a very confined patio. The next day when Samuel, the "manager" came in, he was very sympathetic, and I thought that he handled the situation very professionally. When he didn't get back to me when he said he would, I went to see him again. At that point it was like he was a different person. He said he was too busy to look at the situation and might get a chance to look at it sometime next week. I asked again if he even remembered our conversation and claimed that he did.
I ran into him again about an hour later and all of a sudden, he knew all about the situation but was very aggressive in telling me that the shared patio actually cost more than my original room with its private patio. Obviously, I said you are not going to try to go down that road. He stormed back into his office and actually slammed the door in my face. He was a changed person.
