The hotel is conveniently located in the heart of Philadelphia, just a short walk from the SEPTA subway system and. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, and clean. The historic flavor of the building gives it a unique charm. Great value for the price. There is no front desk staff, but they do communicate via email/text daily to make sure you have what you need. I would definitely stay here again.
The property was very cute and felt safe. We had a lot of privacy and the room was stocked with anything we needed. Everything was in great condition and working order. We’ll definitely be staying again, much better than a typical hotel.
Loved our stay - great location. Room was spacious and appreciated the mini fridge and microwave. Also loved that they had still and sparking water on tap in the main room on the first floor.
Great location. Beautiful historic building. Each room is unique. They have a dumbwaiter to transport luggage unfortunately it stops at the 3rd floor and our room was another 1 1/2 flights up steep stairs.
Very comfortable. Large rooms. Great bed. Rooms a bit dark and prefer hotels with staff on site but this was very pleasant and staff very accommodating.
We loved the historic feel of the room, the amenities were fantastic and the room was quiet even being on the ground floor facing the street. We LOVED the shower, I’m sure the Queen Lane Reservoir dropped an inch or two after we used it😆
Overall it exceeded our expectations❤️
Very pleased. I was a little apprehensive that there was no front desk, but it actually made the stay more cool. There is someone available by text, and they were very responsive. Plenty of restaurants right outside the door. All in all, a very pleasant stay.
The hotel has “invisible service”, which basically means no service, or the customer does the work. We received over ten messages, which is the service, telling you what to do. It was quite annoying, including requiring a $150 holding fee for incidentals and damage. They don’t service the room unless you email asking for it. The room was lovely, comfortable and historic. We didn’t find the coffee maker and refrigerator until we were checking out and opened the armoire (I guess that’s on us, but was frustrating). It is very hard to get your luggage in and out of the hotel if you have anything other than a small suitcase.
We would not stay again. It is like a lovely B&B, without the breakfast or any people.
Unique mansion converted to hotel. Beautiful furnishings. Staff was attentive.
You need to like stairs for certain rooms- no elevator (though there is a dumb waiter for luggage).
It can also get noisy at night if bar across street has windows/door open and because of traffic. Hotel supplies ear plugs, but should have a sound/noise machine.
