We also got a check-in reminder call while travelling, which we didn't expect, but our room was still ready and waiting for us at 8 pm. "I booked this with my siblings for our mom to get away with a friend and celebrate her 70th bday. From the moment of booking and calling to inquire about the stay for her, the staff have been incredible! They even called my the day of to confirm they’d arrived ok and set them up with a bday beverage on the patio. They helped us arrange a shuttle and dinner plans, and have shown such care and class the whole way. Amazing property and staff!!!"

I messaged ahead of time so they know I would appreciate something complimentary to surprise my wife. But nothing. They just gave us a room with a balcony, which we could not even use due to the cold and rainy weather. ALL the other hotels we’ve stayed with in the past have surprised us with a room upgrade or even as simple as a free snack. Little things...
