"A 15 minute walk from the center of town, but we never minded it. There are a couple of nice places for dinner right nearby too, if you want a break from the pricier touristy spots by the Plaza de Armas. The hotel is spotless and modern, and the staff wonderful. We stayed there in 3 installments, with tours in between, and they held our bags, handled our laundry, and were extremely attentive to every need. Top notch service at a very reasonable price."

"Right from the start, we were greeted amazingly! The property itself looks beautiful and clean. We had great and simple breakfasts and amazing mountains view. The staff/family will ask if you would like eggs and they make to your liking. Some friendly cats were roaming around too. It really was a pleasant experience. "

"Cannot recommend enough! We loved our stay. The room was nice, breakfast was excellent, but the staff was truly outstanding. They were SO kind and helpful. We were warmly greeted and welcomed with coca tea, which really helped our altitude difficulties. I really couldn't stress how much they helped with some minor travel difficulties. The location was great and there is a perfect cafe right next door for excellent, inexpensive meals. I can't remember a place I felt better about...

"We had a very good stay at GHL Hotel. The property is located outside of Puno, so it’s quite remote with no nearby restaurants or stores. The hotel’s restaurant offers a very nice dinner, which made up for the isolated location. One of the highlights was the beautiful lakeside setting, with a lovely walking path along the water. "I booked this hotel based on ratings, and I’m so glad I did! The staff are all incredibly friendly and accommodating. The free breakfast is delicious, and includes made-to-order eggs, omelettes, or an assortment of meats, fruits, etc. The breakfast staff are top-notch. "Room without airconditioning is really not ideal. Portable airconditioner takes up space and gets hot and windows are opened to vent the hot air. A bit dated but comfortable Sigh Otherwise great stay. Love Cajamarca - Hotel location is PERFECT!!!"

"Perfect place to relax prior to visiting Machu Picchu or any excursion. Everything we needed was provided. They even arranged car service from Cusco. The location is prefect!
