"The property was set in a beautiful setting with huge green lawns and rolling hills.. Very scenic views. We walked on a trail to a peaceful lake on the property.. The room was done in a very pleasing manner.. everything provided.. The owner was very pleasant and helpful.. Breakfasts were delucious.. We had pancakes with maple syrup and fresh berries picked from the grounds. A peaceful and delightful stay.."

"Great location, easy to find. Close to lots of restaurant options and shopping. Friendly staff!!! And surprising great breakfast. Only disappointment was the large deposit held on credit card for incidentals. $250.00 is held, we’re day 2 of having left and deposit still not returned. Every hotel is doing the same so charges on cc keep climbing while we’re travelling. Recommend carry cash for deposit so it’s returned when you check out and then you’ll have it for next location."

"This is a historic shine, from the late 1700’s and it is spectacular. The woodwork is astounding. The hosts leave nothing to desire and are so easy to visit. The thing you need to be aware of is that there are stairs to get to the rooms."

"Our room at The Evangeline was perfect - spacious, comfortable, and clean! Check in was stressful - the code they emailed didn’t work… luckily we found a staff person who let us in. We didn’t take advantage of the pool or hot tub, but lots of folks did! We enjoyed two breakfasts and two dinners at the Hotel’s Longfellow restaurant. Wait staff was excellent - food delicious!"
