"Excellent hotel, just off main street, clean and comfortable"

"I appreciate the age of the property but the guest rooms are in desperate need of refurbishment."

"Room was beautiful, location you can’t fault if you want animals around you and the views are amazing. Couple down falls for me: Hair in the drawer of the vanity from the previous guest/s Friendly spiders one on the wall and one in the bed which led to a horrible sleep as I was constantly nervous about spiders in the bed Sticky floor round the kitchen area."

"All was good.we did have a problem with ants even though we had no food there. It was a shame there was no spray.. got help from an outsider."

"Friendly welcome. The accommodation needs a refurbishment."

"I wish I could’ve stayed an extra night! The CABN was so cute! I followed a previous travelers advice and brought my own bath mat as the water from the shower goes everywhere and no one likes cold feet! Unfortunately there was no salt available as stated, so it’s lucky we had brought our own otherwise it would be annoying to drive back to town. "Off grid cabin / eco tiny home in a scenic area in the hills above Hahndorf. The property had 8 cabins which were really well spaced out giving a feeling of privacy and the area had many birds and kangaroos. Well laid out cabin with thoughtful additions from the host such as kindle/firefighter and matches for the koonara. A lovely stay, highly recommend."

Expect to drive for shops, restaurants etc - and as there are no cooking facilities, you need to do that, or have meals delivered - but that is the charm. To see wallabies lolloping by at dusk or dawn, honey-eaters busy among the flowers, the horizon of...

"Well located in town with easy access to services and food outlets. Good information for local wineries, accessible by car or bike hire within walking distance. Great place to stay."
