While crocodiles are present along the entire Caribbean and Pacific coasts of Costa Rica, crocodile sightings in our surrounding area are not common and there are no records of crocodile attacks in the Gulf of Nicoya. In Costa Rica, crocodiles were hunted close to extinction and thanks to conservation efforts populations have recovered. Some of our guests enjoy observing Costa Rica wildlife, but we understand that some might feel concerned.
