Thomas has created a mini-Eden on a tropical hill top. Very serene place to stay, immersed in nature.

Beautiful property and amazing host.

Thomas was an amazing host, very nice and attentive to giving us a great experience. The grounds were beautiful!

Hidden gem! Compared to the places around it for the same price it's fantastic! Very well maintained and you can see the pride they take in keeping it. Highly recommend.

Best place to stay in Costa Rica!

My fiancée and I absolutely LOVED this beautiful lodge and the service here was incredible! It was one of our favorite places we stayed in Costa Rica by far and it was so neat to be submerged in the jungle nature while still feeling spoiled and serene. The howler monkeys like to make the most noise at night which can make it a little hard to sleep for some but it was also very cool to be right alongside their habitat. Would recommend to anyone and would definitely stay there again ourselves!

This was our private terrace overlooking the jungle!

Private, cozy, quiet, and relaxing environment. Thomas was a very knowledgeable and generous host. Excellent accommodation for birders as there is many unpaved roads that take you to different birding habitats 5 to 20 minutes from the lodge - beaches to mountains. Definitely worth staying many nights to explore the southern part of the peninsula (Paquera to Cabo Blanco and beyond).

Thomas reminds me of the inn keeper in Local Hero. He is warm and welcoming with a wry perspective. He seems like a happy person, perhaps because he has created a little paradise here in Tambor.

Thomas was a great host. He was super knowledgeable about area and even drove us to a couple places before we decided to rent a car. This is a hidden gem. We got to see monkeys from our balcony in their natural habitat If you're looking for a quiet romantic getaway, this is it. I do recommend renting a car as things are a bit away. But close enough for day trips.

Perfect holiday base

Property easy to find. Warm welcome. Gorgeous grounds. Bungalows are secluded and quiet with two pools and a bar on your doorstep. Only thing that surprised me: towels changed everyday. Excellent holiday base, mingling peace and quick access to services (supermarkets, restaurants, fuel). Lovely safe and clean beaches (minimal waves). Recommend Curú reserve. Bijou sized, easy walks, wildlife and paradise beach. Best CR place so far!

The property is beautiful, Tomas is incredibly helpful and passionate, comfy bed, nice pools, yummy breakfast (bread/ jellies, coffee/tea, juice, fresh fruits, eggs) & close to beaches and Bioluminescent tour in secluded area so plenty of nature to enjoy. The entrance sidewalk is steep so wear hiking/tennis shoes not sandals/ heels, Tomas did offer to help us bring our bags up which was nice but just be aware it may not be accessible for everybody. There is no in room coffee maker (provided at breakfast) or television but great wifi so I was able to stream Disney on my device when I wanted & it allows you more time to enjoy nature, also the fridge in the room was pretty big and you can flush toilet paper down toilet and there was a clothes hanger on the porch which came in handy for our wet clothes, I did not see a safe in room, and it was helpful to have a 4x4 vehicle to get there. My only complaint is the AC didn't get quite cold enough (but that was a pretty common theme in CR with the humidity at the end of May), there was a fan in the room which helped and I was able to still sleep comfortably. Tomas did offer laundry service for $8 which was very helpful because we had a load of dirty/wet clothes- they washed, dried and had them folded in our room when we got back that evening. I would definitely stay again and highly recommend the property, amenities & staff!! Thank you Tomas for your hospitality.

Great stay! Very calm (4 hectars 8 small houses 2 pools) and quiet. Wild and relaxing - strongly recommend if you want to visit curu (20’ by car) or even as a base for your paqueta ferry (30´) Excellent breakfast with true bread and jam, fruits, eggs etc… We were upgraded just because a better room was available Very nice host - friendly and helpful Hidden gem - go ahead!
