The room was very clean,and the bed was comfortable. The staff was so helpful and courteous!! The muffins were delicious!IWe liked the location because we could walk to our destinations. We would recommend this to others who are looking for a quiet and relaxing place to stay!

I booked two days. Paid upon arrival. Left after day1. I have been over charged, ..$928.46 total! I called The Port Inn twice and they have denied additional charges even though they are on my online credit card statement. I will never stay there or an Ascend properties again, and I’m spreading the word to all my traveling friends!!

Excellent stay!

We had an amazing stay! The staff goes above and beyond to serve and to make sure your stay is excellent. We loved the small family atmosphere and we felt right at home. It was wonderful and we are looking forward to book again very soon!

Decent Stay

Adequate accommodations, nothing special. Nice for the area. The cottages and the porch faced a busy street and were down the block from the inn. Decent 3 star property.

We stayed 3 nights, wished it were longer. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The inn itself was beautiful and quaint. They covered all the bases and beyond. We love biking; they had those too, complimentary. We watched the sunset from our bedroom window, Room 202. Will definitely be returning for more great seafood too, at Uptown Raw Bar and Shipwreck Bar & Grill.

We went to Port St Joe to celebrate New Year's with friends who were staying a month in their RV just down the road. This appeared to be a great choice as we don't typically stay in Air BNB and hotel choices are limited. We brought our dog, so that limited choices even more. We were placed in a Bay View cottage, which was a great location in the middle of town across from the Bay. However, what wasn't told was there are full time low income residents in the other Cottages adjacent to the one we stayed in. The residents had at least 3 children under the age of four. Again, thats fine, but was completely unexpected. The kids were boisterous, as most toddlers are which woke us up each morning (much earlier than we wanted). The walls were so thin we could hear all conversations and the back of the cottage adjoined a alleyway where the trash truck picked up dumpsters around 5am two of the six mornings we were there. The staff was really nice and the hotel itself was cute but not pet friendly. We did enjoy having our own kitchen, however I wouldn't recommend this place for a relaxing getaway because of the road noise, low income housing residents, and thin walls. I tried to talk my husband into going to the new hotel across the street but he refused because we had already paid over $1000 for our stay.

The hotel was really cute! Everyone was so nice and helpful. The only things I didn’t like were we were in the second floor and my husband walks with a cane. It would have been much easier for him if we were on the first floor (we got in late day of check-in). The second thing was our room was very small. Almost uncomfortably small. I had to inch my way around my suitcase because there was no room to put it anywhere. Other than those things it was really nice. We would definitely go back there!
