A long love story between Prainha and me - I regularly visit them since 1996! The beach, the coconut plantation, the cottage on the lateritic cliff... the place is magic indeed. Not the best location to swimm in the sea - at the estuari of Mandovi and Zuari rivers - but a great landscape. The rooms are designed with taste, all different, using old adapted furnitures. Clean and nice rooms, kind and efficient service... when am I going next?

Our stay was good, it was nice to have a pool. The generator failed and we had to go and ask for information on the expected time for the electricity to come back on. We needed to get ready for a wedding at the hotel and had to do so with limited lighting (our torch). The staff did not mention it during checkout the next day.

Clean estate by the sea-side, with a private beach, and a huge lawn. The estate was exceptionally beautiful with European style buildings. The service was alright.

Paradise

We stayed overnight for a wedding so spending two days at this delightful hotel. The lawned sunbed area was quiet and relaxing. All of the staff were attentive & very helpful. A perfect venue for a wedding with beautiful views.

Pleasant hotel

Pleasant calm hotel, good room, nice poolside area, fairly good restaurant, tasteful breakfast, friendly service. Almost private beach. Poor wifi.

Nice view and direct access to the beach

Great location

Stayed in a cottage room. Great view. The hotel actually has a private beach. Pool is quite good. I had 2 kids with me who had a lot of fun at the beach and the pool. Food was quite tasty.

Old and musty

Room didn't have working TV or mini bar, even the safe didn't work. Only the safe was fixed during our stay. The room was messy and dirty, for actually had mud on it. Room service was slow and actually forgot two orders, as in it didn't get them to the room at all. Power/ plug points were broken and hanging out. And furniture was worn infested. Hotel had paid wi-fi, and had installed jammers such that you couldn't use data services, even in open areas. Check in and check out were slow and tedious. There only redeeming factor was the sea view offered, which was excellent.

hôtel très calme, situé de l'autre coté des lieux touristiques mais pour du calme il est idéal, personnel très accueillant au bord de l’océan et piscine, cocotier autour de la piscine attention aux corbeaux qui vous prennent le petit déjeuner si vous ne faites pas attention sur les tables au bord du balcon Pas d'animation, pas de musique donc zen attitude!

Great place to stay in Goa!

We really enjoyed our stay at the Prainha. The staff were very professional, polite and courteous. The Hotel was extremely well run with access to information, facilities to exchange money, good quality food and all facilities and amenities very clean. There was access to a small beach which enhanced our stay.

Nice hotel With a good restaurant and a Nice pool, although the pool could use some upgrading, has a lot of loose tiles. The Beach is pretty but the water is quite dirty/Muddy so we didnt swim in the sea. Much nicer along the bigger beaches North/South Goa. 10-15 mins to Panjim, 40 mins to the airport so good location for a few Nights before leaving if you want to see Panjim. Clean rooms, Nice staff, Nice garden. Boring neighbourhood. Some road work atm, but not really noisy by the pool. Stayed one night.

Rolig og sjarmerende lite hotell. Perfekt for par.

rolig og fredfull atmosfære på hotellet. God mat i restauranten. Hyggelige mennesker på jobb! Vi tok taxi til andre strender på dagtid, da stranden på hotellet ikke egner seg så godt til å bade på. nydelig utsikt fra rommet.

NIce property in undesirable location

The Prainha is a nice hotel, but there is liitle to do in the surrounding area. If you want to lie in the sun and read, you'll love the beachfront property and the lovely grounds are extremely well kept. The private beach needs the same attention--plastic bottles and other trash littered the corners of the beach. Apparently It was no one's job to clean up Prainha's beach. I don't recommend the standard rooms. I was placed in a new building in the back of the hotel and had to walk up two flights of stars to get to my room. All the bedding and furniture was new and of high quality, but the building was still under construction. I had to walk thorugh the workmen finishing the other rooms on my floor. This was not a three star hotel accomodation given this circumstance. I asked to be moved to another room and the manager showed me a "cottage" room, which was nice, but wanted me to pay an additional $40 per night for the room. In my opinion, the cottage room was a standard room in a three star hotel. I declined to pay extra to move. I am over 65 and don't think I should have been placed in a two story walk up (three flights of stairs to get to the beach). In this way, the hotel did not meet my expectations of three star hotel. The hotel was only about half occupied so I could have been easily relocated but the manager declined. I paid too much for the room in which I was placed.

Nice Hotel but a distance from Panaji

Beach was nice to look at, but not for swimming. If you are looking for a beach head north. Close to Panaji (capital) but still had to use taxis/tuc tucs. Staff were very helpful in helping us with train ticket.

A GREAT OASIS.

A lovely good clean hotel with its own beach on the indian ocean.Your own swimming pool that was cleaned evryday by pool attendant.Sun lougers with mattresses are aplus, but be carefull you dont put under a risky cocoanut palm, when its windy they can fall. Breakfast is served by the pool plenty to eat and choices.Allin all a very pleasurable experience with happy smiling staff.

Fantastisk utsikt med solnedgang.

Det er fantastisk utsikt fra de fleste rommene med havutsikt. Hvor den private stranden som ligger rett nedenfor bassenget ligger rett mot vest. Du kan sitte på terrassen og se solnedgangen. God mat på resturanten til rimelige priser. Minuset er vannet som er litt grumsete fra de to elvene som går ut på hver side. Det er bedre badevann på de store strendene nord for byen. Det er ingen problem å leie en taxi i 8 timer å kjøre til turiststrendene eller andre steder. 1800 Rupi. ( NOK 180.- )

Prainha- Completely Rejuvenating!

I was looking for a vacation this new year. It was a all girls trip. Waited for it the entire year and therefore wanted a hotel that could give me the best. Prainha was an awesome experience. The staff was hospitable. The manager Samuel was very cooperating and responsive to any ad hoc demands we had. The private beach and pool was the main attraction. It was a rejuvenating trip for me. If you are looking at some place quite & peaceful, want to enjoy the candle light dinner by the beach and walk in the beach with no rowdy crowd around, Prainha it is!

if you have not other options

since the rates are prefixed and paid upfront the hotel management gives you a raw deal as they know for sure that if you walk out you forfeit the money paid.

Nice Stay!

We wanted a hotel with private beach, after lot of research found this one. Intially we had booked for 5 standard rooms, we checked in early and found the sea view rooms are really good and the front office manager was reallly helpful to accomodate us ( all the 5 rooms) to sea view rooms with the needed charges. Overall, very pleasant stay, away from the mad crowds.
