Terrible all around! This place was not pet friendly nor was the hotel manager, Eddie. He’s very unprofessional and has no business being in hospitality. I booked with Expedia and checking in was a nightmare right off the bat. They were apparently fully booked, but they placed me in their last room for “emergency.” Pretty sure they kicked out one of their “workers” last minute to accommodate. The room was gross, filthy carpet, dirty toilet and towels, and it stunk in words I can’t describe. I should’ve ran and demanded a refund then and there but was exhausted after traveling across the country and tried to make the best of it. I was waiting for my Golden Retriever to arrive via pet transport and when she arrived, Eddie pounded on the door and told me to get out- no dogs allowed in this particular room! I was confused, She’s cleaner than the room! I asked if I would be assigned another room and he responded with “This place is not for you.” He went on to complain about Expedia, taking no accountability for how horrible his customer service is. One star because ZERO is not an option. Because I booked with Expedia, it was an hour phone call to get a refund, thank goodness they granted.
We were originally supposed to say the 20th through the 26th. We had a 12 Hour drive and got in traffic on the way down there. We started calling the villas around 5:30. No one answered . They said the office closes at 8 PM. I tried to call them several times and left three different voicemails with no return call. I got in touch with Expedia. They could not get in touch with the villas either. We knew if we got there to the villas there would be no other place for us to stay so we stayed an hour out. We had to unpack and repack. We got there the next day and they would not let us check in until 4 PM. I told them that me and Expedia had tried to get a hold of them on Sunday evening to say we would be late and to make sure we could still check in. Because on their voicemail, it says they close at 8 PM. They told me that they would get it worked out and we had the rest of our five nights. They ended up charging me for the day that we couldn’t make it on time and may I remind you they did not let us check in until after 4 on Monday so we wasted a whole day. If we had had a great stay I might would even have overlooked the extra nights charge. The pool needed scrubbed down, the TV was so little my eyes couldn’t even focus in on it from the bed. The grass was grown up and I did not hear mowers or anything going the whole week. Couldn’t put clothes in drawers because of smell. Very unhappy! They charged us for 21st-27th.
