But the toilet backed up, and I told the staff that was outside my room, and they brought me a plunger to do it myself. I didn't want to be responsible for it if something went wrong, that was bizarre to me. "I read several bad reviews about this place, but my family and I had a great experience. I knew going into it that I booked a 2-star hotel, so I wasn’t expecting a luxury suite. "Parking is clear and right in front. Well lit too. Turret Room has a full kitchen. Room was clean and has heated floors. There is a fireplace, as well as a fan. Quiet property. Bed was uber comfortable. Hot water is quick. Water pressure everywhere (but shower) was amazing. Very homey and well maintained. Good price and so nice. We will be back."

"This place looks like it was just remodeled and everything was clean and new and well done. I upgraded to the 2nd floor view room and it was great. Perfect location because I walked to everything. Right next to the path by the ocean, view of all the boats, walked to fish and chips, brewery and checked out all the sea lions barking at each other. Unfortunately, our unit was very run down with very limited cookware, beat up/stained furniture, appliances that didn't work, heating that didn't work, no instructions for TV, check-out, etc. Floors were filthy and I even stepped in something gooey left behind by another guest. A good cleaning could go a long way."

"We were looking to get away to the beach for a few days with our dog and Pacific Dunes was a great fit. The bungalow was clean and comfortable, our dog was welcome and best of all, we loved that we were just steps from the ocean. The location was fantastic!"
