The location is very nice and clean. The breakfast is not really worth taking it. Youth hostel quality. Far away from 4 stars hotel. For the second day we decided to go to Buffelsdrift nearby and pay for it, even when it was already in our package.

Perfect venue to unwind
Old Mill Lodge was perfect for our purpose, serene, relaxing in a beautiful setting perfectly maintained by passionate and friendly staff. Thoroughly enjoyed the stay and ambience of the venue. Felt very and slept like baby every, which I seldom do.

Beautiful location with lots of wildlife to see, and good food in the main restaurant. Expedia listing is inaccurate however, as many amenities listed were not available. Missing amenities: Game Room, Kids Club, Coffee Shop, Arcade, Lazy River, Mountain Biking, Supervized Children's Activities, Soundproofed Rooms, and the Zipline was broken. Additionally, spelunking and rock climbing are available in the area, but not at the property.

Wonderful staff and grounds. Need new beds.
Loved the convenience of pulling our car right to our room. The staff and the grounds are wonderful. The bed was probably the worst ever. We put anything we could underneath us for some padding. It was like cardboard. The restaurant is lovely. Our room was a luxury waterfront room. It was perfectly adequate I’d call it rustic, not luxury.

Great place to stay
We loved our room overlooking the dam. The decor was modern and the room attractive and clean. The restaurant was also excellent and the site convenient to all the attractions we wished to visit including Cango caves. We would definitely choose to stay there again

Amazing short getaway on the farm !
We had an amazing stay at Old Mill! Very clean, well looked after, great for stay with kids. Bunnies, trampolines, playground for kids to keep them busy .. Great location for ostrich farm visit and caves.

If you are looking to relax with the kids, this is the place. Plenty to keep young children busy and safe, they especially enjoyed the bunnies and zip line. The cabin was clean and had everything we needed.

Gem outside Oudtshoorn
Fantastic service all-round. Dinner was magnificent and service from Coke and Ruben was outstanding. Breakfast was delicious (even with load-shedding). Our chalet was very comfortable and the bed was outstanding. Will definitely be back.

This was very basic but its location explains part of its lack of modern conveniences. However, they should get a decent wifi (the reception was awful and I don’t they should claim to be able offer it). The beds were not the best either.

Bruiners Family vacation in Oudshoorn
It was amazing. The management and staff are very friendly and helpful. Very clean units and comfortable. Great breakfast. Awesome entertainment for the children, including animals on the premises. Highly recommended. We will definitely visit this place soon.

Great for families and great food
We stayed in the tented accommodation, very comfortable and modern. The food was out of this world and the staff are so friendly. Definitely will go back again. Also great location to the Cango Caves.

Wir hatten einen eigenen Bungalow mit 2 separeten Schlafzimmern und eigener Küche. Die Anlage ist sehr schön angelegt. 2 Pools, Angelteich, Kaninchengehege, Ponys und Straußengehege. Eigenes Restaurant mit super Essen.

Our stay at Old Mill
This is a great value place to stay. It is slightly out of Oudtshoorn but on the way to Cango Caves and Swartberg Pass. Our room was very nice being a cabin overlooking the small dam. Breakfast was great with several traditional SA foods available, which made it more interesting.

Ruhige Lodge ausserhalb von Oudtshoorn
Sehr netter Empfang und freundliches Personal. Die gebuchte Unterkunft (Waterfront Cottage 1 honeymoon bath) am Wasser ist mittlerweile alt und nicht mehr auf dem neusten Niveau. Eine Duschw fehlt leider, es gibt nur eine Badewanne. Die Betten sind klein und die Matratze doch schon ziemlich durchgelegen. Die Lodge legit etwas abseits der Strasse und ist daher sehr ruhig. Gutes Frühstück und ein gutes Abendessen im Restaurant der Lodge rundeten unseren Aufenthalt ab.

The hotel did not respect the terms and conditions of the booking by not providing free breakfast. This is abosolutely NO customer service

On the system it shows that the guest was booked without breakfast. On check in guest was informed about this and didn't say anything or show us that he was booked with breakfast. Only the next day was it brought under our attention and he left without any explanation from our side.

We (3 adults) spent two nights at this beautiful location. Ideal for visiting the caves and learning about ostrich farming (don't miss the museum at Oudtshoorn). We were very happy with the accommodation and our only problem was with the unexpected rain.

Komfortabel, schön gelegen am Fluss
Tolle Location, am Fluss, mit tollem Restaurant. Ein gutes Stück außerhalb von Oudtshoorn, sehr schöne Umgebung. Durch massive Regenfälle in den Vortagen unseres Aufenthaltes war das Wasser in Dusche, Toilette und Waschbecken braun und nicht benutzbar, Zähneputzen mit Wasser aus einem Kanister, Körperpflege quasi nicht möglich, auch wenn das Hotel dafür nichts kann, war es eine sehr große Einschränkung. Das Restaurant hat am Abend aber für vieles entschädigt, man sitzt auf der Terrasse direkt am Fluss und genießt ein herrliches Abendessen mit südafrikanischen Spezialitäten!

Hübsche Lodge für einen Stop in Outshoorn
Die Anlage des Hotels ist sehr gepflegt, etwas ausserhalb aber daher auch sehr ruhig, die Zimmer groß und sehr sauber, das Frühstück total gut

Vi havde en overnatning her i en fin lejlighed (to værelser og en lille stue køkken). Dejligt beliggende i nærheden af Cango Caves som absolut er et begøg værd.

Comfortable stay
We had a great stay with a nice room and a pool area. The restaurant and breakfast was tasty! Boring but practical location seeing it is close to ostrich farms and Cango caves. We enjoyed our stay!

Lovely serene oasis in mountains
Very clean quiet accommodation. Lovely buffet breakfast. Friendly staff. Lovely garden setting. Nice pool. Would recommend!!

Very friendly hotel
Nice hotel with very friendy staff. Offers excellent breakfast and has a good restaurant in situ. Close to the caves and Swartzberg Pass which must be visited.
