Gorgeous rest

La Plume was gorgeous-the best place that we stayed during our journey of the Garden Route. The suites were so nicely appointed and super spacious. The breakfast was delicious and we were disappointed that we missed dinner (it was only a 3-course meal). I loved taking a bath in the beautiful bathroom and went for a run at sunrise through the ostrich farms. It’s only about a half hour from Cango Caves. My only regret is that we could not stay longer. This is definitely a place we could spend a few days to rest.

A truly memorable luxurious stay.

A truly memorable experience. The degree of luxurious appointment and size of our room and bathroom have to be sen to be believed. This guest house is owned by an ostrich farmer as a means of diversification and he offers personal tours of his farm which are very instructive and entertaining. Dinner was offered which we enjoyed a great deal, trying ostrich for the first time. The breakfast was very good with a wide variety of choice. The coffee was excellent which has not always been our experience on this trip. We would certainly recommend La Plume to anyone.

Lovely boutique hotel with great food and location. Unfortunately i was in the annex cottage 500m down the road which spoilt things a bit as i had to drive after my evening meal.

The hotel is far from the nearest town (about 10 Km). It is situated in the semi-dessert next to Ostrich farms. However, the staff are very attentive, accommodation is top quality & comfortable, meals are excellent & service is exceptional.

The rooms were large and elegant. Fabulous antiques in every room. VERY roomy bath with a terrific soaking tub. The AC was really good, which is important with the temperature over 100 . Dinner was top notch. Excellent food with a terrific presentation Our visit Oudtshoorn was kind of a bust due to the heat. BUT the stay at La PLume made it worth the trip

Geweldig Guesthouse van de familie en ook wat inrichting betreft uniek. We hadden een prachtige grote suite met uitzicht op het landgoed. Ook het diner en ontbijt zijn zeker een aanrader en de rondleiding met de farmer/eigenaar zelf over het landgoed en de uitleg over de geschiedenis van de plaats, de struisvogels is zeker een must do!

Fabulous LaPlume Boutique Guest House

I questioned whether it was worth the drive to Oudtshoorn being that I wasn't very interested in ostrich farms, however, it was an amazing experience. Not so much the ostriches,but the LaPlume Guest House. Beautiful room,excellent staff and wonderful food. Also a good mix of guests that had traveled extensively. Can't say enough good things for this establishment. Excellent on all levels.
