"Parking charges are crazy high. Can’t get coffee or anything till after 7. Very confusing to find room with not a ton of help from staff"

"The maintenance of the outdoor property is impressive. It is immaculate. I observed staff early morning wiping dew off seats, cleaning sidewalks, and attending to anything out of place. Our room, however, was old and tired. Furniture was scarred, uncomfortable and old. The room was dark and gloomy. We are grateful to have had a full kitchen but the fridge over chilled despite lowering the temperature and all the food froze. The prices and quality of the restaurants was outragious. Stock up at the Walmart up the street unless you want to pay over $5 for a can of soda."

"The Thunderbird wing of Cabana Bay was perfect for us: quick access to the walking path to IOA for EPA, easy access to the smaller pool (with the water slide, not the lazy river), and still very close to the lobby for walk-through (cool!) access to and from the park buses. We could not figure out the "quick access" to the boats at nearby Sapphire Falls, but that might be on us...we were tired from a long day of travel! In general, everything at Universal Orland Resort was much closer together than we expected, and very easy to navigate. Cabana Bay enhanced our experience, and was a great place for our first on-property stay at Universal!"

"They made us pay extra to get into our room 2 hrs early. And then after lugging our suitcases up to it, a maintenance man was working on a repair in it. So I had to go all the way back to the lobby and get another room. But if you have a super early flight, you can’t beat the location. "
