"The only good things I can say are that the check-in was quick and the room, though obviously old, was clean. Upon arrival it looked poorly maintained from the outside but I have stayed in some low cost hotels and that isn't a deal breaker for me. We go in and are advised that there is no continental breakfast as there restaurant was being renovated. Sucked because it was one of the reasons I booked there. The pool is filled to the brim and the hot tub has toddlers in it. No towels. The halls were soaking wet - like slipping on tile and sloshing in the carpet wet! The elevator we chose (only once) ceiling was louding shaking the whole time we were on it. There were only 2 towels in our room but we booked for 4 people. The courtyard had a few chairs, a few tables, all strewn around and there was broken glass around them (could have just happened and they hadn't been notified......until they were and it was still there when we left). We left for awhile, came back and the police were there with security (hotel hired). Of course they are! On the way up to our room, the guy in the elevator asks what floor we are on and tells us so was he until he found a bed bug and showed us video proof. Upon leaving I advise frontdesk and instead of apologizing, she says he could have just told them and not us (which he did) and then advised that she always checks for bed bugs regardless if its a nice hotel or crappy ones like this one. Agreed, but not the response I expected!!"
