chinatown in olzheim

Fin beliggendehed men der er lidt støj fra den nærliggende b51. Der var en underlig lugt på værelset og gangen, nærmest som på en Kina grillbar. Badeværelset var ikke som beskrevet og utroligt lille. Wifi var ikke tilgængelig. Roomservice var ikke muligt selvom der var beskrevet som muligt på hotels appen. Grunden til roomservice ikke var muligt var at man ikke måtte spise på værelset. Ikke på grund af corona, men fordi der måske kom krummer i sengen. Jeg valgte og forlade stedet efter 2 timer, lugten hang i tøjet længe efter.

Ich hatte das Zimmer Argento für drei Übernachtungen gebucht. Dieses Zimmer hat das Motto 19. Jahrhundert. Mei erster Eindruck bei Betreten war sehr ernüchternd und ich dachte nur "so viel Geld für diese Ausstattung, oha". Nach der ersten Übernachtung in einem wirklich äußerst bequemen Bett sah meine Welt schon deutlich entspannter aus und nach der dritten Nacht hatte ich die Aufmachung des Zimmers richtig lieb gewonnen und es tat mir leid, das Zimmer verlassen zu müssen. Ich kann die Aussage des Hoteliers nur bestätigen, man muss dieses Zimmer auf sich wirken lassen... Der Hotelbesitzer und das Personal sind sehr freundlich und es bleiben keine Wünsche offen. Mein Gesamtfazit lautet: Alles super.

Schön ist die Lage und der Blick von der Terrasse in die wunderschöne Eifel. Nicht so gut gefallen hat mir, dass das Bad für den Preis zu klein und zu provisorisch war und vor allen Dingen, dass praktisch kein W-LAN Zugang möglich war. Nachts hört man bei geöffnetem Fenster die nahe liegende Autobahn deutlich. Der Preis ist für die Leistung eindeutig zu hoch.

Comfortable Stop for 2 days

Comfortable stop for 2 days on way from Giessen to Bruge and then the UK. Jan very knowledgable and helpful as my wife is vegan. The lake about 10 km north made for a very enjoyable day out. Countryside in the Eiffel area is quietly attractive and would be good for walkers/riders. Also a possible place for langlauf in the winter at Swarzerberg which is 500m and claims to have groomed ski loipe.

Leider war das Restaurant noch nicht einsatzbereit, aber das wird im März der Fall sein. Das Frühstück war gut und ausreichend. Wird wahrscheinlich auch im März, wenn die Küche wieder vollständig eingerichtet ist, bestimmt noch abwechslungsreicher.
