"The hotel was lovely, the family room was spacious and recently refurbished. Beds were firm. Parking is 25 Euros a day and can’t be reserved beforehand, so first come first serve. Otherwise a local parking garage nearby. The only negative is that the bathroom was a wet room so the water didn’t drain well and the water remained on the floor. It’s slippery."

Overall, this hotel strikes the perfect balance between boutique charm and genuine hospitality. Ghent is already one of my favorite cities, and Lits de lo made the trip even more memorable. "A lovely old house with excellent bedrooms and kitchen area. The little private garden at the rear was very pleasant to sit in. Polo is a very helpful host. There are a lot of roadworks going on in the area but further into the old town are all the great sights and restaurants. "
