"Run down hotel. Cracked walls. Unrefreshend smell to the room. Not worth 1/4 of the $$$ I paid. Getting out of the bathtub was a fall hazard. Shower pressure was low...on the ground floor I wonder what its like on the top floor. Very unpolite and discriminatory frontend staff. Had paid for a quadruple room but was given a lower occupancy room. The only positive thing was the comfy bed and having a roof over one's head."

"Great small homely hotel with fabulous views of the hills and moors. Nice bar and lounge with excellent breakfast in morning. We stayed in main hotel but the little cabins look fab. Will come back to try one. Great place to stay when visiting the area. Great night out in uppermill … lots of pubs and restaurants just 2 miles away"

"Hotel is very central, 5-10 mins walk from Piccadilly Station. I have stayed here a couple times for the convenience and price. Its a 'no fuss' hotel - really large with loads of rooms but old. That being said its in absolutely OK condition, facilities all worked, bathroom was clean and modern, bed was clean and comfortable for a 1 night stay. It definitely attracts a younger crowd but was quiet all night (on a Friday). Only minor issue is there's always a line for check-in, despite checking in...

"Beds rock hard. Not a single USB socket. A free can of Diet Coke though…….in a premium room? Nice enough staff, facilities were poor. Won’t go back."

"Communication from them was fantastic, they let you know everything you need to do to access the property. Room was lovely and clean. Directions to property were very clear (unless you're an idiot like me who doesn't read them properly!) Had one issue in the early hours of the morning as the room next door was being really noisy but I messaged the property and they sorted it out within about 5 mins. Would happily stay here again."

"Staff were friendly and helpful. The breakfast was excellent, fresh fruit, cereals, and a hot cooked breakfast. The only negative, we had to pay for parking, we booked on Expedia and it was advertised as parking available, no mention of having to pay. We will use this hotel again but will book directly through the hotel website. ( cheaper too )"
