"We stayed at this hotel because of its proximity to an event. The lobby and dining areas are inviting, but we were not happy with our room. The air unit is right next to the bed so blows directly on it. Also the carpet was not clean. "

"I am a Hilton rewards member and booked my daughter and her friend a room and when the arrived the AC was not working and the front desk attendant said the manager was not there. He provided the managers business card and told us maintenance was not on duty on the weekend. It was 77 degrees in Charlotte when I arrived the room was 77 degrees as well. He offered a box fan. He also stated that they were totally booked and the nearest hotel with availability was 30 minutes away which was not an option as we booked that hotel because it was in great proximity to our events for the weekend. Needless to say it was an uncomfortable night. "

"We had a wonderful time staying at the Wingate, the only issue we had was the hot water wasn’t as hot as what we are used to at our house. My girlfriend enjoys a bath about as hot as boiling some chicken over an open fire, I on the other hand enjoy a warm shower but even with the hot water turned all the way on it still was a bit off. Other than that absolutely everything else exceeded our expectations."

"Everything was excellent from the location, the property and the kind staff! The only downfall which was significant was the loud rumbling motorcycles and cars on the street until 2:30-4:00 am. Even w ear plugs you could still hear to roaring of the engines ready to race! The front desk says the Police are aware but dont see it as an emergency…. Given tourists are spending lots of $$$s in the uptown area, I would think the Police would acknowledge that it is disturbing the peace. It’s too bad bc it is a really nice area that will affect the tourism…."

"Room was clean and had a nice view of the pond and waterway. Our floor was having some remodeling done and restaurant was being remodeled, but didn’t affect our stay. Staff was professional and helpful. Quick check-in and check-out."
