"The staff did their best, but the condition of the furnishings and carpet etc needs to be addressed. Our key cards didn’t work on multiple occasions; many others in the hotel had the same problem. The rooms are gloomy and dark. The dresser in the room had drawers that kept sliding open. The sofa in the room was stained and worn; we were afraid to sit on it. Some of our party wanted to use the pool. There were no pool towels. The hot tub water was green and needed to be cleaned."

"Staff was very nice at check in. The elevator was not working which was rather inconvenient - they could not accommodate me with a first floor room but did switch to a second floor room. Room was small but cozy. Linens were fresh and clean - bathroom was also very clean. Was a good room at a kinda expensive rate but all hotels on the Kansas City metropolitan area have raised their rates due to the impending FIFA World Cup games."
