Our party of three had a car accident on the way, and Dido and Lilomo drove out at night to Rumuruti to pick two of us up - an hour each way on bad roads. The chef had stayed up to cook us a hot meal when we arrived after 11pm, which was very welcome. The signposting to the camp needs drastic improvement (my taxi got lost which I understood) and the road to get there is dreadful. The accommodation is fabulous and I slept so well. The hotel has an Indian owner and most of the guests were Indian, either from India or local. The way they spoke to and disrespectfully treated the staff was shocking and entirely unacceptable. "It is close to Mount Kenya National Park. The lodges has a scenic walk along the River. The restaurant is excellent."

"WiFi didn’t exist, multiple infestations of different insects, the food was only 3 different choices, it exists 10 km away from everything on a dirt road in the middle of no where. Hotels didn’t help out and we asked for a refund on day one. "
