"My room did not have a beach view, but it was a short walk away from the beach. Parking is free. Guests with dogs said the property was very friendly and welcoming. The staff were helpful, accommodating and friendly. "

"Great beach access for the money! Wright Bros. Monument is 2 blocks away but not walkable-- the highway can't be safely crossed on foot. Also, a car is necessary to get to restaurants and other places of interest, though they are near enough. A thoroughly enjoyable stay!"
"I loved this quaint little place. We didn't arrive until after dark, but the owner was on the phone guiding us to the property. When I left the key code in the room while unloading the car, we called her again and she helped us unlocked the door. My only complaint would be lack of ventilation in the bathroom, but the Fairfield Inn and suites the night before also lacked it. Would stay again."
"Returned 40 years later from our 1st stay, when it was in its original ocean front location, to this 2025 stay. Classic, historic, dedicated beach access, lovely grounds, lush landscaping and gardens, and a great vibe. Rocking chairs and porch swings harken back to the good ‘ol days. Wonderful breakfasts by Chef Georgia, with eclectic culinary creations. Just love this ‘old woodie’ hotel in the original classic OBX architectural style."

"It was very interesting. It’s a big house with different rooms. We all share the kitchen, living room, laundry room, pool and deck area. Overall it was pretty good. One thing that did irritated go get it brought our dog and all you can hear is another dog barking 85% of the time.!"
"I can’t say enough great things about this place. I booked three nights originally and ended up staying an extra night, the location is central to most places, stores, restaurants etc. It’s right on the beach, which I love.
There were breakfast snacks in the kitchen area every morning and happy hour at 4 every evening. Even with other visitors, we never heard them moving throughout the house so each suite has its privacy.
It was clean and all amenities were provided. I would recommend this...
