"This isn’t luxury. This property isn’t as advertised; don’t be fooled by the pictures. It’s burning but luxury. It’s basically a scam.
1. The beach isn’t private.
2. The place is a construction site with vast areas incomplete, and covered by straw mats
3. There were cockroaches in the room, and insects too. The doors are not properly done, there’s huge spaces at the top and under the doors, so the mosquitoes and insects just keep coming, even after you spray.

"The hotel was not able to honor my booking-- the rooms we booked were not available . No manager was on the site and the only staff who was there was not able to validate our Expedia booking. Alternate rooms they suggested were terrible. We ended up securing rooms in a different facility. "

"The staff were very helpful and the host communicated well and consistently with us. The room situation was bad because we stayed in two different rooms and both had a couple of problems. We stayed in two rooms because they forgot our booking (even though it’s agreed we’ll pay on arrival) and gave us a two bedroom instead of one. The next day they moved us. Both rooms had cockroaches popping out of the kitchen area frequently and it was much worse in the second room because we had to refrain from keeping anything at all on the counter to avoid taking cockroaches back home. The second room had a leaking AC which had almost filled a bucket by the next 12 hours. They gave us the option of moving to a third room on another floor and we declined so they said they’d bring someone to repair it but he didn’t show up until our checkout time so we stayed in the leaking incident room for the rest of our stay. The room wasn’t super clean or spotless either, you’d open a corner and there’s massive dust everywhere but the open spaces look pretty fine. Second room didn’t have an iron as well in both rooms the water barely heated, it was lukewarm at best. The soap in the first room was terrible as well, it smelt terrible and it was hard bar soap which was difficult to lather with water. Embassy gardens has a lovely environment but I don’t think we’ll ever book with this same agency again. "
"The staff were very professional, friendly, and helpful.
The breakfast was amazing and the staff were great as well. The only downside is that the room was not clean at all. The shower was very dirty and kitchen countertops were not cleaned."
"The daily breakfast offerings were always different, which provided great variety and gave you a true taste of Ghana. That was a highlight of my stay. The staff overall were wonderful, friendly, and welcoming, and I would definitely return.
The pool area itself was nice and relaxing; however, there was a noticeable smell of garbage coming from a nearby field filled with trash that was visible from the area. It would greatly improve the guest experience if the hotel added some attractive décor to block that view and make the space more appealing.
That said, there are a few other areas I believe could be improved. First, the restaurant charges for bottled water, even though it is complimentary in the rooms, which felt inconsistent. Also, during breakfast, if you request a juice outside of what is offered that day—especially due to allergies—you are charged extra, which seems unreasonable.
Lastly, I had an issue at checkout. I paid my bill in full, but while I was at the airport about to board my flight, I received a message stating that I had been undercharged and still owed money. I was sent an invoice to pay immediately. While I did pay the amount they claimed I owed, it was frustrating and confusing that this was not identified at checkout. It also felt a bit insulting, as I take pride in paying my bills honestly and on time.
Overall, it was a good experience, but better communication, improved surroundings, and more accurate billing processes would make a difference. "
"Myself and my family took a trip to Accra last month. We stayed in the African Regent for about 5 nights. When we arrived, the staff were very inviting. We were greeted with a drink and Seth helped us with our luggage. The breakfast as well as the food we ordered from the restaurant were delicious. Poolside was fun and our server Fiifi was very polite and knowledgeable about the menu. He answered all of our questions and guided us to delicious entrees. Karaoke on Saturday night was super fun. My only issue was that the water in the room shower was difficult to regulate temperatures. Overall staying in this hotel was a great experience. It was very comfortable and in a good area, in walking distance to the mall and markets. I would definitely stay there again. My highlights were the staff, location, & the food. "
"The hotel has high quality services and facilities. However the rooms are not 5 star. Finishing is cheap wood, sensors make noise and emit disturbing light, and the system outside the room feeding the AC makes frequent banging sounds
