"The bed was super uncomfortable with only one sheet on the mattress. The restroom was sub par. Definitely below my standards. Not a convenient location but the price reflects that. Breakfast was below standards. Just pay a little more for a better accomodation. "

"The room was perfect, the location was right in the middle of the historic district, the food was authentic and the staff were all client focused. For example, the owner/manager was very responsive and provided a solution to address a concern that we had. Highly recommended hotel that feels like you are a guest at a relative's mansion."

"I am giving 1 star because the employees of the hotel are kind. As soon as we entered the room there was a dead cockroach on top of the sink. The television did not work at all in the first room and the smell in the hall if you have any type of allergy, do not go. On the second day I went to complain and on our way down the elevator stopped. We talked to the receptionist and she moved us to a different room. The tv in the new room worked, but there was a cockroach running around the room (also caught on video!) and when my daughter took a shower the entire bathroom flooded. We had to ask someone to fix it. It was the first shower in the "new"bathroom. The next day they closed the swimming pool with no previous notice. I am not even going to talk about the food. Very bad food. Not even the French fries. You can see the oil is old. One of the highlights of hotels in Brazil are the breakfast, not in this hotel. No fresh fruits, very low variety of options. I am very glad that we left when we did. A horrible, horrible, experience."
