I am totally sorry you were not aware that the tavern was not open. It is Well marked on the listing. I wish you had contacted me because there is quite a few eating option nearby. I would definitely would have given you some information to that regard.

If the place was so terrible. Why did you renew for another 2 weeks? I believe this review is based on the fact that I called you on being so dirty. Thinking out five bag of trash and having cat poop on the floor. Is not acceptable

If you had read the description you would know that none of the rooms are handicapped . The restaurant has been posted closed all summer on all the sites. The sign at the desk clearly explain that we do not staff the desk and to call for anything including housekeeping, as we minimize contact. The air conditioners are removed from the window when the temperature drop bellow 45, but left available with the day gets too hot. I had no reason to go in your room and know that you left. sorry you cannot go up 7 steps but next time get informed on where you decide to stay.

Well Karen excuse me Kathleen, you may want to read the description before making a booking. It clearly states that the restaurant is closed and this is a relaxing space. If you want to party choose something more appropriate. Google map clearly shows where we are located. Furthermore there is only only person due to inablility to find staff so I don't have time to soap opera, naps or day off.

I am sorry the property is not modern. It is 160 yrs old and I can only so much at a time. I only owned this property for 2 yrs and it is still a work in progress. I believe that is reflected in the price, which is about half of all other lakefront properties in the state.

I only kept the one night deposit. You reserved a non-pet friendly room and tried to sneak in your cat. Carpeted rooms are not pet friendly and you knew that. I was not unfriendly just not willing to let you have your way. People suffer from allergies and I only allow pets in rooms with hard flooring surfaces. If you had been honest upfront you would have reserved your deposit, but you purposely tried to hide your pet.

The description is well posted. NO RESTAURANT NO BREAKFAST. The rooms can be made daily as posted at the check-in desk, all that is required is that you ask. The TV are listed as streaming TV, no cable.People can check-in over a 7hr period of time and I can not be at the desk all the time. We are still enforcing social distancing. The property or our guests are not " abandoned". We are accessable by phone from 8am to 11pm.

I am sorry you did not enjoy your stay. However I am a bit confused about your review. We talked on the phone about finding the hamburger in the fridge. I tols you I was sorry about the oversight. I am the only person running this facility and missed it. 'As for the bartender he is allowed to go outside to the smoking section , specially when nobody is purchasing drinks.

I am sorry you did not like your stay. We check the room daily and sanitize them. There is no bed bugs anywhere.

this is a pretty ridiculous review. you were made aware up on checking that the bar was open until 11 p.m. you were also made aware that they would be probably a little loud and you said it was no problem. as you intended to be down in the tavern yourself. we have had many guests and staff member in that room and no one ever said that the room was a level. It could have been your level of alcohol consumption considering the amount of dead container Left behind for one night. and the facility does not have anything to do with people talking too loud all you have to do as you are instructed to. what's call the front desk so we could at least had a chance to ask those people to quiet down. we have had numerous review and they one has ever claimed that the building was slanted. considering it's a concrete building it's also quite surprising.

I am truly sorry you did not enjoy your stay. I was not aware that you were leaving until I crossed your pass in the hallway and I was already responding to a plumbing emergency. As you were made aware I am the only person on site due to the inability to find help.

I am sorry that hotels.com is not updating their site but the 4 rating should be for them not us. The website does states that the restaurant is for Friday and Saturday only by reservation and nowhere does it states that we serve breakfast. We have a sign on the check in desk asking people to call us for anything, I never heard from you. We do have ice and food and soda and a full bar. May be you need to read a full listing before making reservation.

I am sorry your room was not ready but you tried to check in 3 hr early. As for the common area we spray the door handle every 3 hrs. We do not interact with our guests unless we need to do so to minimize contact.
