"Good points: Staff were friendly, accommodation was clean and tidy and food provision and bar was satisfactory. Poor points: The room was pretty sparse and lacking any warmth or character as were the rest of the facilities. We didn’t try the Spa or Golf, so can’t comment on this. gym, sauna, hot tub type facilities (which I would be happy to pay for) are pretty standard in most ‘Spa’ hotels so I felt a bit cheated. "Excellent clean and tranquil hotel surrounded by farm land. Staff were friendly and helpful would highly recommend somewhere to stay for a relaxing retreat. 5 minute drive to the centre of Stratford upon Avon and easy to get to. "

"Parking and check in were easy. We had to request a hair dryer and when that finally arrived we had noticed there was no tv remote control. So had to ask for that as well. The curtains were broken and hanging off the track in several places. The pipes made a squealing noise when the shower was turned on. "Property was in a nice location next to small river. Room was dated…patio door fell off hinges when opened, headboards were in rough shape, toilet wouldn’t flush and had to fix myself. For some reason ours was the only room without card entry which was a bit of a pain! Also beds really firm. The front desk staff were helpful as much as possible. Restaurant was quite good. Overall was ok for what we payed. "

"The room was not as we saw on the website, we didn’t have a garden view but a large wall, which made the room really dark, the carpet was stained, the breakfast was ok until my husband saw the chef put cereals spilt on the table back in the pots with the ones to be eaten , there was a big sign outside saying come and look at our refurbished rooms, we certainly didn’t get one "
