"Do not rely on canceling online before deadline, Expedia showed the room was canceled but they did not honor it , make sure you call and ask for proof of cancellation otherwise the online portal will show the reservation active after couple days and charge your card , Expedia rep will deny liability. very bad experience with Expedia, don't rely on what is confirmed on the screen. "We were very disappointed that the hotel did not disclose ongoing renovations at the time of booking. The work was centered in the entrance lobby, making coming and going feel unsafe and hectic with our one-year-old. Between the loud construction noise and the overpowering paint fumes, it was not a suitable environment for a young child. Transparency is key, and we should have been given the chance to book elsewhere given the conditions."

"Overall it was a nice stay. It's an older building so some things were to be expected. The tub wasn't draining but maintenance took care of it right away. The room was clean but the desk and chair needed to be wiped down. The heat knocked a little but it was nice and warm. The staff was friendly and accommodating and we were able to bring our dog along, so that was a big plus. "
