"We traveled to Plunge Beach resort during a beautiful sunny week in March. The main resort building (main entrance) is set back, but a very short walk to the beach. Note: we were informed when we arrived that the beach front building had sustained damage from a broken sprinkler system so it was not able to be occupied while under renovation. The lobby area of the main building is modern and welcoming—hosting a display of local art work. There is also a great coffee shop that had fantastic coffee and breakfast sandwiches (and a super friendly and accommodating staff)!! Off of the open lobby is a bar area that hosts breakfast in the morning and drinks in the afternoon. There is a shopping center a 1 minute walk from the hotel if you need a grocery or drug store. The hotel is a 10 minute (easy) walk to all of the downtown restaurants and bars. My only complaint is that the hotel hallways and rooms looked very tired and worn. You walk from this very open, modern lobby off the elevator to hallways that have worn carpet and walls that were in desperate need of fresh paint. The rooms themselves were clean, but again somewhat worn and in need of a refresh. The hotel staff was ever present and extremely friendly! We never made it to the pool as the beach was the gold star of this resort! I would love to return back to Plunge after it completes all of its renovations and gets a refresh. With a little TLC I think this place could easily be a 5 star rating! "

"The bathroom needs some attention. The bath in particular needs maintenance- the bath plug needs looking at and the bath vent below the faucet is missing which could allow water to leak under the bath and cause damage including mould."

"I enjoyed my stay at the hotel. Most of my service was excellent. I asked for a late check out which they granted. However, staff kept knocking on the door to service the room before my late check out was over, a little irritating. The breakfast was fair, the orange juice I had to throw out, it was brown (yuck)!"

"This hotel is wonderful! From the moment we arrived, the staff were so accommodating. The hotel has a lot to offer… champagne and cookies at arrival, a beautiful pool, delicious food and comfortable rooms. I can’t recommend this hotel more! We booked this last second from another terrible experience and am so thankful we found the Westin!"
