I admit I am nowhere near the dedication level of many serious Star Trek fans, but only because I lack the time to be more wholly devoted to exploring strange new worlds. I discovered The Itty Bitty Inn quite by accident and I am so happy I did. The Star Trek Enterprise Room is a fabulous and fun tribute to a true touchstone of pop culture and science fiction. I love and appreciate every little detail, and I wish I had more time to spend here! If you have any love for Star Trek whatsoever, this is a place you won't want to miss. (Side note: The couple staying next to us invited us to check out their Tiki Room, and it was likewise adorable!)
Amazong! Best service, hands down, ever. This is the cutest, friendliest little spot ive stayed in. We will be back to check out the other rooms for sure! Highly recommend! The owner is real
One of the coolest places I’ve ever stayed. The owner, Rik, has put so much love and effort into these rooms, the Star Trek room was truly unique and special! Rik was also so friendly and welcoming, gave us a drink on the house and recommended local spots. Very sad we could only stay one night! Hope to come back again soon.
Raining so we stayed mostly inside and we were very comfortable. Rick is an excellent host. Compact room, but wonderfully decorated. We generally visit North Bend / Coos Bay in a motorhome so this was a treat. Wonderful coffee. Would not hesitate to recommend. Thanks Rick we left before you were up for appointment with motor home mechanic.
Quirky? Yes. Lacking features you’d find in a more modern hotel? Yes. The room was small, the bathroom was small and the door seems a little sketchy but everything was fine.
70’s colors, a working Atari, pictures that looked like I should be in them (yeah, I looked like that), disco ball - all had us laughing at the way we were.
Rick is hyper enthusiastic about his hotel and the work that’s been put into it and should be! He called as soon as we booked to check on arrival time and check on restaurants, this was a Monday in winter so places might be closed. A thoughtful move.
Yes you owe it to yourself to step away from the corporate culture and visit the unique places that are around you. Well done Rick!
What an amazing experience, one I will be talking about and recommending to people for a long while. Rick at the front desk exceeded expectations as far as how friendly, knowledgeable and accommodating he was. I hope to return one day and try to stay in one of the other rooms. I pause to note any fault in this place, but just in case this helps anyone, I had a restless sleep due to the hard mattress and old, flat pillow situation. Maybe bring your own pillows?
Quirky, fun Star Trek motel room was the BEST surprise for my Star Trek TOS fan. We were graciously welcomed by Ambassador Sarek, who showed us the mechanisms of the captain's quarters and offered us libations and recommendations to local eateries. We watched episodes of the show, viewed viewmaster slides featuring Kirk and company and had a most wonderful night.
One of my best hotel decisions ever. It's an itty bitty in with and awesome theme. I'm not sure I could have enjoyed it more. And the host is awesome too
