We enjoyed our stay at Thunderbird Lodge! Even though it’s close to an interstate, it felt quiet and cozy. The staff were friendly and the rooms were clean and updated. We would definitely go back.

This was the 3rd time staying here and I love the service that Mel provides. She has great recommendations and I always feel safe here. It's nearby many shops, a couple casinos, and not that far from some great basketball games. Will definately stay here when I'm in Norman again.

I want to start out by saying that the staff at the front desk were amazing! Super friendly and incredibly helpful. I have zero complaints about the folks who work there - they are wonderful. We were coming in for a graduation at OU. ALL of the hotels in the area completely gouge the prices and more than triple their rates. The Thunderbird was VERY reasonable. A little info about the Lodge: This place is old and dated! If you don't smoke, make sure you are reserving a nonsmoking room!! We needed a room on the lower level with a fridge, so we had to get a smoking room. For nonsmokers, it smelled like an ashtray. The carpets looked like they were from the 1970s and had cigarette burns all over it. The bed... Oof. If you have any sort of back issues, this is not the place to stay!! The pillows are fluffy and comfy, but the bed is probably also from the 1970s. (I traveled for 5 years with my job and this is by far the worst bed I've ever slept in. The room was musty, but at least it was clean as far as towels and sheets. It worked for what we needed for one night, but I would never stay more than a single night here. The folks are so pleasant, but the property is dated, old and musty.
