I just believe the hotel could use an upgrade. My room still had a shower curtain. The view from my room was a boat. I am happy with all the staff.

Lack of attention to detail. We fixed the lamp shade. We tightened the knob on the wardrobe door. We removed the tape that was left on mirror from a previos sign. Toilet seat was loose. The never vacuumed once even though you could clearly see the floor had lots of bits on it. Asked to replace kettle it was beyond disgusting. Coat hangers broken in wardrobe. Bar staff very friendly owners only interested in socializing with their friends at the bar. Charge for breakfast was $35 each more than lunch would have been, why I dont know. When we come back tot he beautiful Norfolk Island I dont think we will stay at The Castaway.

This is a great property in a great location. It has great meals and even has its own craft brewery. Highly recommend.

Castaway is very close to town, cafes, shops and service clubs. It serves breakfast daily, from 07:30 to 08:30. Dinner is available on five nights (two of which are Pizza nights). It does not serve lunch. The rooms are not serviced on Sundays but office staff will supply clean towels and amenities on request. On most days the reception is closed from after breakfast until the bar opens at 15:00

Enjoyed my stay

I stayed at Castaway while on a short work visit to Norfolk Island. I thorough enjoyed their hospitality. The check in was a breeze, starting of with the welcome pick up at the airport. The staff are the most friendliest people I've ever met. The owners make you feel at home. The rooms are very clean.
