I have stayed at this hotel twice this year and each time I have enjoyed my stay. The staff on both occasions have been very friendly and welcoming. The hotel is quiet and I although I'm usually out late due to a concert or dinner I love how the doors are locked at a certain time and you have to call to get in. Even when you call you are let in almost immediately. Whener I'm in the area I will stay here again.

The staff was very friendly and pleasant. The main issue was cleanliness. There was hair on the hand towel and counter in the bathroom. That just made everything else feel not so clean. Also, the deadbolt was not able to lock on the door.

I love the staff because they were friendly and kind. If l needed anything, they were willing to give it to me, such as toothpaste and brush, and toilet paper. I dislike l had to leave early because of an emergency.

We made do

Overall, the workers were nice and friendly. We were in a budget, and for what we paid it was fine. HOWEVER, the female genitalia print marked in bodily fluids on the computer chair in the room was where I drew the line. I wasn’t expecting perfection, but at least a reasonably clean space. Also, use heightened awareness regarding the outside hotel environment.

Entrance door was dirty - had to request coffee maker and coffee at front desk. At check in it was stated that coffee and danish would be available and that was not available - we checked out at 10:30 am. Baseboards filthy. Would not recommend. Staff was very nice and polite but the building needs work - renovation.

The positives: The location of this Extended Stay America is excellent, in proximity to the Hampton Coliseum area. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. The AC unit in the room worked great and was not very loud. The bed was comfortable. The negatives: The lobby was small, unappealing, and looked dirty. Walls and floors throughout the building were scarred, marked, and dirty. The elevator was dirty, noisy, and moved awkwardly. The air in our room was damp, the bedsheets felt damp. (Running the AC with the covers pulled back for a few hours fixed this.) Like the hallway carpets, the room carpet looked well worn and stained. The television was small. The bathroom was clean, but everything appeared outdated and overused. Overall, the stay made us cringe and say "Never again."

The staff was wonderful. Friendly, helpful and kept their cool in spite of some challenges. The physical plant needs help--elevator was not working and battery in my door lock was dead, so took 3 trips to front desk (4 flights of stairs) to rekey and finally a lovely woman came in to repair lock. There was another guest with the same problem.
