"We got such a friendly and helpful welcome when we arrived, and the room with bridge view was fabulous. Highly recommended- so much so we booked in for a second night. Will definitely return when we are around the Newcastle area again."

"What a beautiful hotel, first impressions take your breath away. All the staff, without exception, are always pleasant and efficient. The hotel itself is in need of a refurb/decoration and is very run down in places. This didn’t bother us (we had read the reviews before we booked) but could be a disappointment to others. Our room overlooked the train station and was noisy at night due to the trains but was doubly noisy when a nearby nightclub opened until the early hours on Friday to Saturday. Fortunately we had earplugs (thank again to earlier reviews). Having said all of the above, we would definitely stay at this hotel again."

"Nice room. Good breakfast. Food in bar in evening also good and reasonably priced. Very big queue to check in due to coach parties arriving. No strategy for dealing with customers not on the coach and we had to queue for 15 minutes with no apology. Have to pay for pool and towels."
