Great water views , big balcony that opened out from our room , comfortable bed , everything about the room was great, the management and staff are amazing, friendly, helpful couldn’t do enough for us, the restaurant/ Bistro area is terrific great meals and not overpriced, decking out front also has tables for food and drinks consumption all areas have beautiful water views, my wife and I absolutely loved this place and would come back in a heartbeat

Woke up with e sorest back, beds are terrible. Place is clean and nice, only get one key makes it difficult for couples.

Staff were excellent, as was the service. Charley, Shelley, Will and Yvonne (the cleaner) were all cheerful, & very helpful. Room was clean. Restaurant meals were great, with generous servings. On the down side: Free WiFi was connected but didn't work. Stairs were difficult for older folk - all accommodation being on the first floor. Room we were allocated was far too small for an eight night stay, there were other larger rooms. Refrigerator was tiny and not fit for purpose. No hand towel or face washers. No toaster or microwave.

Overall it’s a great pub , good food for the price and the rooms are small but clean , however only worth half of what they are charging , and it’s noisy from traffic which Pippis can’t help . I did watch a confrontation between a barman who appeared to run the bar refuse to serve whisky on the rocks unless the lady bought top shelf . This is crazy that the only way they put a drink on ice is for top price liquors . I stopped buying alcoholic drinks there at that point . We were staying there so would have bought a lot however I will not support this type of service bullying and will let others I talk to know of such a rip off policy . Won’t be back for that reason alone

Great value for money, with exceptional cleaning. There is indoor and outdoor dining with waterfront views second to none The views are magnificent, but if you’re staying more than one night, take some camping lounge chairs so you can sit at the window to enjoy the view.

Room was nice enough but entrance to the accomodation was not great. Building work going on and skips of rubbish. Can’t be helped I know but not great!

We were informed four hours before check-in that renovations were underway. Half the accommodation area was a building site! Guest parking was taken up by workers’ vehicles. Our bathroom was grubby, with a crack in the toilet bowl. BUT the bar area staff and food was amazing!

Pictures are very dated, the walls, locks and air conditioning is poor. Nowhere near Newcastle and didn’t feel safe, had cheap room door locks that can easily be picked and no safe for valuables. Very cheap and needs a facelift.

The staff were friendly and were very helpful. The property was clean, smelled clean, but the room was not like the one shown, but that is just cosmetics. The bed was comfy, the aircon worked and it was a nice quiet space to rest. I would stay here again.

The standard of the room was terrible. It really needs upgrading or at least some paint and fresh decorations. Its very dated and worn out so it felt dirty.

The hotel is not a hotel, but rooms above a pub. The room was large, however there was one chair to sit on, no table to sit at to eat or use the computer. The door to the balcony was not closing properly, hence slamming when the wind got a bit heavier. Cockroaches even at the door of the fridge. The skirting boards were filthy with dust, expecially near the bed. Whe I got into the room the smell of vanille essence was very heavy, giving me a headache. The whole upstairs area, where the rooms,( 15) were, was saturated with vanilla essence. Parking was not very good as there is a pub, so patrons would use the parking and no room set aside for accomodation partrons. The bed was ok and the bathroom area would do, although everyting is old. I was told that there are going to do renovations in April, however I must say, they had the time during Covid to do some cleaning up and did not do it. THIS IS A PUB AND NOT A HOTEL AND YOU SHOULD NOT ADVERTISE IT AS SUCH. I WANT MY MONEY BACK AS I WAS TAKEN FOR A RIDE!!!!!!!!!!!!!! DO THE RIGHT THING. I HAVE BEEN WITH YOU FOR A LONG TIME AND TELL YOU THE TRUTH OF WHAT I HAVE FOUND.

Property needs an upgrade epsoecially the bathroom. Staff on arrival were very friendly and helpful. Beds were good enough to sleep on, however not very supportive. Area around Pippi’s was very nice with a nice view of Lake Macquarie and close to Warners bay. I would actually like to stay again even though there was loud music on Friday and Saturday night
