The hotel is close enough to Broadway and Times Square that everything in that area is convenient without being in the thick of the crowds which helps with noise. It has a beautiful lobby and the rooms are well furnished and clean. The staff was also great and their doormen were friendly and super helpful. And the shower pressure (an issue at so many hotels these days) was surprisingly good.
We only had 3 main complaints.
The first was the bathroom felt outdated compared to everything else. The sink handles were loose, the toilet flush strength was poor, the tub/shower combination was awkward, and so on.
The second complaint was the air conditioning setup. The room air conditioning worked, but they also had an additional unit in the room piped through the window. This allowed air, noise, and more into the room via the propped windows with no way to close them. It made for noisy nights considering the pedicabs blasting music and sirens and other such noises.
Finally, their minibar setup is terrible. The prices are absurd, even for a more expensive hotel. You do get 2 free bottles of water a day which is great, but since the fridge is packed with expensive drinks, there is no place for you to store anything yourself. Basically, the minifridge is a minibar only. And its setup is massive in the room. It felt like we were being pushed to spend $10 on a mini can of Pringles or whatever else was available the whole time.
Great hotel. Not sure its worth the price per night.
