"Very clean and convenient to downtown"

"The hotel and room were very clean and quiet. The staff were very nice and helpful. The breakfast was good. This is our second time staying there and when we’re in the area we will stay again. Highly recommend."

"Room was clean and breakfast was good. Hotel is in a convient walkable location. Enjoyed seeing the draw bridge go up and down from our room. Only complaint is that the TV in our room did not work during our stay and front desk was unable to fix it. Was hard to fall asleep due to the background sound of others in the hotel since there was no tv noise (not loud people, just the sound of walking around/closing doors)"

"It’s an older hotel, I’m sure soon to be renovated. Bathroom fixtures, sinks, shower/tub are dated but all very clean. Staff was super helpful and it’s of course right on the beach with 2 pools so the location is perfect. The VALUE is terrific."

"Loved it."

"We really enjoyed our stay at The Salty Mermaid! The location was great, especially being so close to the beach. The room was comfortable and clean, and the property had a nice, relaxed beach atmosphere. The staff was friendly and helpful, and parking was convenient. We also loved being able to walk around and enjoy everything New Smyrna Beach has to offer. Overall, it was a very enjoyable getaway, and we would definitely consider staying here again!"

"Great experience"

"Clean property. Room was spacious and extremely clean. Quiet property. Tommy and his wife were amazing hosts. Restaurants and shops within walking distance or a 3 min. drive. Beach is 5 minutes by car. Property is pet friendly."

"They gave away my reservation and I could not reach Expedia so had to pay again."

"Nice place, close to where we needed to be."

"I was very disappointed with our king oceanfront room. The thermostat stopped working hotel maintenance could only get the AC to work at 62, or move to a queen or street view room. The water pressure in the shower was barely enough to wet the washcloth at times. The bathroom mirror had a film on it that made it difficult to see to apply makeup. Had to stand in the corner to see clearly in on section. Looks like portions of the hotel has been renovated however the bathroom renovation is not...
