Valentine’s Day Weekend

My wife and I stayed here for one night. We stayed in suite 5. We absolutely loved our stay. So very clean and nice. Every detail was thought of... complimentary maple roll, coffee, tea, popcorn, juice, box of chocolates, loaf of bread and jam provided! We really enjoyed sitting in front of the fireplace. We will definitely be back for our next stay in Amish country!

Expedia states it included a full breakfast and it was a continental one. Also, it was unclear which suite had the outdoor whirlpool, so I selected the wrong suite. I recommend updating descriptions of the suites and breakfast. In addition, I would include more tv channels and better movies. Outside of those things, we had an amazing time and suite 1 was beautiful.

This place is amazing. The view is gorgeous. Everything you need and more. Very clean. Fresh baked goods and strawberry jelly was delicious.

This was exactly what I was looking for...a place that felt like home with an exceptional view. It was peaceful to wake up in the morning to the breakfast provided and watch the horses playing. The room was clean. Friendly staff while checking in. It was a warm and cozy stay in a rural environment and I would easily stay again.

Great night!

The suite we stayed in was great. Big jacuzzi, nice kitchen stocked with a few drinks and snacks. The fireplace was warm and cozy. So very quiet location too. Over top rated.

What a gem!

From the moment we walked in we were thoroughly impressed. The view was the beginning! The property itself could not have been any better - so quaint, comfortable and well stocked, we felt right at home. Fresh baked cinnamon rolls and bread greeted us along with yogurts, 4 different kinds of juice, coffee for both a drip pot and a Keurig machine and snacks! As well stocked as the kitchen was, both bathrooms were equally stocked with all the necessities. We didnt need a thing. What a memorable getaway, sitting on the porch watching the horses and Amish countryside. So beautiful.

Home in Holmes County

Magnificent place to relax and enjoy the surroundings. Serenity and nature abound you in a perfect setting. Away from the hustle and bustle yet close to all thy he area has to offer. This is the only place I wan TV to stay when in Holmes County.

Beautiful view! Comfy bed. Suite 2 was roomy. Planning to return when the weather is a bit cooler so we can use the fireplace. Great room.

Well Worth It!

Wonderful, homey, cozy place to stay. My friends and I stayed in Suite #3 - it was beautiful. Very roomy, clean, tastefully decorated, lot's of homey touches such as the maple cinnamon rolls, freshly baked bread, homemade strawberry jam, assorted juice, coffee and tea that awaited us when we arrived. The views are fantastic and it is very peaceful both day and night. I would highly recommend Holmes with a View to anyone wanting to stay in Ohio's incredible Holmes County.

After a day of shopping and driving....what an oasis at the end of the day. The unit lived up to the pictures online. It was peaceful and rexlaxing. Planning on a return visit.

Absolutely beautiful! Super clean, peaceful & comfortable. Loved the layout.... with open, well equipped kitchen, dining & livingroom with views of countryside and the privacy of two separate lovely bedroom suites. We enjoyed our morning coffee and maple rolls out on the deck. Everyone was very sweet & helpful. We will definitely keep this place in mind when planning our next getaway!

House #2

This was our second stay at Holmes with a View and unfortunately it wasnt great. We booked two nights August 18-20th in the the house and the bed was just so uncomfortable that we ended up leaving Saturday after dinner. I didnt complain because theres not much that could have been done. I do highly recommend investing in a good quilty bed. Besides just extreme firmness and could jabbing you, the frame made a horrendous noise whenever you moved, even the littlest bit. . My husband and I have stayed all over Amish country and this was by far the most uncomfortable sleeping situation. $400 for what ended up being a little over 24 hours is just not great. We didnt have this issue in #6 so Im not speaking for all of the accommodations, just my experience in #2 this last weekend. Innkeeper was extremely friendly and the House was spotless. I hope this bed is upgraded and we can enjoy a stay sometime in the future.

Outstanding stay

We had a wonderful stay at Holmes with a View, as always! It really is a little slice of heaven. My husband and I needed a long weekend, so we stayed 3 nights and 4 days. This stay was my birthday gift to him. We love the hospitality, cleanliness and privacy of the unit. We look forward to our next stay! Love it.

THE VIEW ALONE IS WORTH THE STAY!

We spent one night in Unit 1 for our Anniversary and it was so beautiful and relaxing! Upon entering, we found a box of DELICIOUS chocolates that the owner had left as a gift. The room was beautifully updated and decorated with a queen bed, kitchen, jacuzzi tub and spotlessly clean! The view however, makes it difficult to want to do anything else but sit outside. Absolutely GORGEOUS views! Im betting the Fall views are breathtaking! Breakfast consisted of DELICIOUS Homemade bread, cinnamon rolls and homemade jelly, all from a local Amish bakery; along with juices, plenty of kuerig coffee choices, and yogurt. I would stay in this exact unit again and cannot wait to come back!

Outstanding stay

It was the most peaceful and calming experience after a very hectic work week. It was the best 4 days we have spent in months. Excellent location, service and view. We can't wait to return. It was outstanding.
