"The rooms were clean. The staff was very helpful. Overall, very pretty place. Also, they are dog friendly which made it extra nice since I travel with my dog. I plan on returning again soon."
"We can’t wait to stay at Sierra Mountain Inn again. The cottage room was absolutely adorable and everything was well maintained. The front office staff was very friendly, attentive, and helpful with a small issue we ran into. It was a wonderful experience and we are looking forward to our next stay."
Gold Miners Inn Grass Valley, an Ascend Collection Hotel
10/10 Excellent
"Staff was extremely helpful and friendly with our large group. The breakfast was tasty and the happy hour great. Large parking lot and clean rooms. Recommend!"
"Excellent location tucked away among the beautiful Victorian style homes. It's close enough to downtown to walk as well. The cabins have all of the comforts of home. They really thought of everything! Ice is available, pool, and full vintage kitchen with dishes, iron, shampoo/conditioner, coffee maker, microwave. Check in is simple since the doors have digital locks. It was nice not to have the option of just getting the code before check in if we were arriving late. Parking is right in front of your room so it's very easy to load and unload your vehicle. Will definitely be returning. Easy access to the main roads as well. There is a common area with charcoal, BBQ and a little creek to enjoy under the trees. Property owners are incredible! Very helpful and friendly and make sure you have everything you need on your adventure and are knowledgeable of the area. True hospitality , 10/10!"
"The property could really use a paint job and some cleaning. The room was clean, but it needs some new paint. The bed and pillows were comfortable and clean."
"A wonderful historic building. Just north of the Nevada City central business district. Owners are on site. When I arrived the owner was working outside and was right there to check me in.
Something to note is that most of the rooms are up a narrow and curved staircase. Only room #1 is on the ground floor. That's not a problem for me, but take it into consideration if you're mobility impaired.
The room was nice, with a comfortable bed and adequate bathroom.
Parking is on the street next to the Inn. Spaces are sufficient.
Breakfast is minimal. Coffee, instant oatmeal, fruit. On the road that's exactly what I want. I tend to get too many calories and not enough fiber when traveling."
