Bogor generally is safe but roads can be hazardous, watch out for motorcyclist and cars when crossing. 5. It takes about 20 mins walk to the Botanical Gardens as you can only enter by the main entrance in front of Chinatown. So...

"This is an affordable place for everyone who wants to explore Bogor area. The location is perfect, close to shopping center as well as the botanical garden. Breakfast has some Indonesian menu options. The main cons for this place is the facilities that are not well maintained, AC remote didn’t work, electricity outage happened many times during my stay, like 4x in the morning."

"The hotel was outdated. The sheets and blankets were dirty and the pillow cases weren't so clean either. The staff were friendly but that's about it. The breakfast was disappointing and very limited. You can hear the traffic outside even with windows closed and it was hard to get a nights sleep. The refrigerator in the room did not work at all. Not a great place to sleep even for one night. Terrible. "

"The hotel offers reasonable value for money, but could be fantastic given its heritage. It looks like it could do with refurbishment (last done 25 years ago?) We chose to stay here as my parents had stayed there 70 years ago. Breakfast in the restaurant were very good with a strong local flavour. unfortunately it does not open in the evening leaving only the small cafe in the atrium area. We did not use the small pool. "
