"It was a very small unit - especially compared to other apart-hotels in Austin. I travelled solo - there is no way more than 1 person can fit into this 1 bedroom. Small things like no coffee or end tables in the “living room” - just nowhere to put a coffee or any drink down. Cleanliness wasn’t fantastic and you can easily hear the occupants above you. Just not fantastic. "

"Our stay at Tommie Austin was exceptional! The hotel itself had a really cool vibe, was clean, and the staff were very hospitable. This boutique hotel was one block from 6th street and in walking distance (few miles) to SoCo and the Congress Ave. Bridge for bat watching, kayaking or the ferry. There were also a variety of dining options at the hotel and nearby. For my husband and I, Tommy Austin was the perfect hotel and in the perfect spot for the things we wanted to do. "

"The hotel is under maintenance construction. The rooms are very small. Hardly room for a bed, table and chair. The staff was great. The 8th floor bar was dismal. Outside balcony was closed. Bar could not make a gin & Tonic. No Tonic. Location is good. "

"I would not recommend anyone to this hotel, strong mildewed odor, 2 days stay parking fee was $75.00, half roll of toilet paper, there’s a signage in the elevator (towels get washed every 3 days), if you need to ask for more towels. No fridge or microwave. I was very disappointed with this hotel. Next time I’ll e reading the reviews. Take your own Clorox wipes, Lysol, towels and toilet paper. "
